Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern era, well-known individuals such as actors, cricketers and politicians are photographed by photographers who are specialist in their work. Many people think that it's a good thing and others say that it is a negative trend. In the essay I will throw some light on both the views with certain facts and examples, however, In my view; I go for a wrong side.
On the one hand, famous people often takes pictures and upload into the social media platforms and there are many individuals especially the youngsters who follow their trend and keep eye on how to they keep fit, how's their haircut and clothes and many more things. For instance, Nowadays, adolescents are making hairstyle just like an eminent cricketer, because, about 3 years ago he uploaded a picture on social media after he cut his new hair style and it went viral among youth people, therefore, they have been following that trend to this day.
On the other hand, some photographs spread negativity to the public. Sometimes famous actors upload pictures which even they are not wearing appropriate clothes as well as they upload some nude photographs which is not good for adults. Currently, society still follow this type of trend and also well-known company promotes their brand from these superstars.
To conclude, I think the impact of this type of photographs is very wrong among adults and I think the government should take serious steps behind this situation as well as individuals do the campaign behind this trend.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The first body paragraph focuses on the influence of celebrities on youth fashion, which is relevant, but the second body paragraph is somewhat disconnected, focusing on 'nude photographs' and brand promotion rather than the core issue of paparazzi and public interest. The arguments are somewhat superficial and lack the depth required for a higher band. The conclusion is brief and introduces a new, slightly off-topic suggestion regarding government intervention, which was not previously discussed in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', but these are used mechanically. The progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the second body paragraph where the link between celebrity photography and brand promotion is not clearly explained. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the vague use of 'this type of trend' in the conclusion, which does not clearly summarise the preceding arguments.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is some repetition of basic terms like 'pictures', 'photographs', and 'trend'. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'eminent' and 'social media platforms', there are errors in collocation and word choice, such as 'specialist in their work' (should be 'specialists') and 'take serious steps behind this situation' (should be 'regarding this situation'). The range is sufficient to convey meaning but does not demonstrate a flexible or sophisticated command of language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('famous people often takes pictures'), incorrect preposition usage, and awkward phrasing ('how to they keep fit', 'how's their haircut'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of semicolons and commas. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the response from reaching a higher band score.
