Student answer (Band 6.0)

Capturing photo has become a common nowadays. Every celebrities and famous personality get captured by professionals. Some group of people find it is good approach and others are disagree. I will discuss both opinion in my upcoming paragraphs.

To start with, this is a good approach because famous personality are famous for a reason right, they are well known because people are impressed by their work so getting to know about them through professional photographs are really appreciated by their fans and exactly same thing is wanted by celebrities so that they can become more popular. A Survey shows that 78% of the photographers are invited by themselves at the place so get more popularity in the public.

However, some people think they have their own personal lives so it becomes unprofessional here. For instance we see on social media where popular personalities are coming from gym and photographers start following them whether they are ready for it or no. It impacts their personality in a negative way because public then start commenting on the outfit or makeup they wear and this can lead to downfall of their career.

In my opinion, clicking picture without permission is always wrong approach. First photographers should ask for a permission then they can click photos and can upload on social media plateforms otherwise it looks like they are interfering in their lives and exposing them badly which impacting personal lives and they have to face the judgement of public regarding their clothes , behaviour and all.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding photographers being invited by celebrities is an interesting point, but it lacks sufficient explanation or a concrete example to fully support the claim. The discussion on the negative impact of paparazzi is also a bit repetitive, focusing heavily on the idea of 'judgement' without exploring broader societal implications. To improve, you should aim to expand your supporting points with more detailed reasoning or illustrative examples to ensure a more thorough exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To start with', 'However', and 'In my opinion' to signal shifts in your writing. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. For example, the transition between the idea of celebrities wanting popularity and the survey statistic is abrupt. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as the use of 'this' at the start of the second paragraph, which could be more explicitly linked to the previous idea.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'professional photographers', 'social media', and 'unprofessional'. However, there is a reliance on basic vocabulary and some repetitive phrasing, such as 'good approach' and 'famous personality'. There are also minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'Capturing photo' instead of 'Taking photos' and 'plateforms' (spelling error). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate a wider range of precise vocabulary and collocations related to media, privacy, and public perception.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt to use complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Every celebrities... get captured') and article usage (e.g., 'the public are interested in their lives'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing commas in several places, which occasionally affects the readability of your sentences. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and pluralization will help improve your accuracy.
