Student answer (Band 6.0)
It has become increasingly common that prominent figures are followed by professional photographers where ever they go in their everyday lives. While some are in the favor of this trend as people have desire to know about their favourite celebrities, others oppose as they believe in is not good to chase them every where. Although it has certain advantages, I believe it has several drawbacks for the famous figures.
One main reason why popular personalities are followed by media is that they spread awareness about them among public. When media capture different artists and also publish about them, such as their activities, hard work, good habits and voluntary work, common people get aware about their true personality. As a result, they may adopt their habits and can become a good citizen of the nation.
However, following to celebrities all the time by media is not without its drawback as it affect their privacy. If prominent figures are chased by media even during their personal life including either during vacation or spending quality time with their loved ones, they can not enjoy their personal life openly because of the fear of cameras. Therefore, they can feel stressed due to the extreme involvement of media.
In my opinion, even though media coverage is good to some extent to make people aware about their activities, I believe too much media involvement can ruin their future and endorsement as when they publish fake and wrong information about well known people. As sometimes their statements are taken wrong without knowing about facts.
In conclusion, despite having few benefits of following popular personalities

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'spreading awareness' is a bit generic and could be supported with more concrete examples. The conclusion is incomplete, which is a significant omission that affects the overall task completion. While the position is clear throughout, the ideas could be extended further to reach a higher band. The response covers the prompt requirements, but the lack of a finished conclusion prevents a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'However', 'Therefore', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by minor mechanical errors in phrasing, and the final paragraph is cut off, which disrupts the logical progression of the conclusion. Referencing is generally clear, but the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be smoother to improve the overall coherence of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'prominent figures', 'media coverage', and 'endorsement'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'in the favor of' (should be 'in favor of') and 'following to celebrities' (should be 'following celebrities'). The range is sufficient to convey meaning, but lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'they believe in is not good' (should be 'they believe it is not good'), 'get aware' (should be 'become aware'), and 'they can not enjoy their personal life' (should be 'cannot'). Punctuation is mostly functional, but the sentence structure occasionally feels repetitive. The errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score.
