Student answer (Band 5.5)

Photography plays a crucial role in celebrities life. Some people say this is a good thing because public are interested in their lives. While other thinks that photographers are wrong to follow them. I believe that everyone has their personal lifes but celebrities are public figures. So this is not bad to click photos of famous people. Although photographers needs to learn some basic rule of privacy. Further details will illustrate in upcoming paragraphs.

The major part of this scenario is that young generations are willing to participate in interviews, party etc. For example, genZ are more fond of photography compare to millennials celebrities. They personally ask to come over their place and ask them for charges. Furthermore, that is totally wrong pathway to become successful. In recent times technology becoming more powerful platforms.

In the contrast, photographers breaks the rule and damage their personal lifes.

Nowadays, social media like instagram, facebook, youtube are increasingly more popular. So this is part of public stunt or promotions of new brands. The disadvantage of this situations is data privacy. That is the main concern of any popular people. Some photographers will never understand their own protocol to not leak any privacy with another person. Although this misbehaviour interrupt whole photographer channels. Then all the members of this category will suffer.

To conclude the discussions of famous people are photographed by professional photographers is good thing as I mentioned in upward paragraphs. I strongly believe that photography is a good thing to do but in some limitations.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. The second paragraph attempts to discuss the public's interest but drifts into a confusing argument about Gen Z and 'charges' for photography, which lacks clarity and relevance to the prompt. The third paragraph touches on privacy concerns but remains somewhat superficial. While the prompt is addressed, the supporting arguments are often underdeveloped or logically disjointed, preventing a more thorough exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the internal structure is weak. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, such as the shift from 'young generations' to 'technology' in the second paragraph. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or misused, such as 'In the contrast' or 'upward paragraphs'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of the argument. The overall flow is hindered by these structural issues.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'click photos', 'wrong pathway', and 'photographer channels'. The student relies on basic vocabulary and struggles to express more complex ideas precisely. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of range and the frequent errors in word choice prevent a higher score. More precise terminology related to privacy, media, and public figures is needed.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement ('photographers needs', 'technology becoming'), pluralization ('personal lifes'), and article usage. Sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to cause difficulty for the reader and indicate a lack of control over more complex grammatical structures.
