Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. The first body paragraph attempts to explain the benefits of celebrity photography but relies on vague, repetitive points such as 'fun and enjoyable environment' and 'mental stress' without clear logical links. The example provided regarding 'poor people' is irrelevant to the topic and lacks clarity. The second paragraph is more focused on the negative aspects, but the arguments remain somewhat superficial. To improve, you should ensure that each point is fully explained with a clear, relevant example that directly supports the topic sentence.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'At the end' to conclude the second paragraph, which is not standard academic phrasing. Additionally, the flow within paragraphs is occasionally disrupted by abrupt transitions or sentences that do not logically follow the previous one. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help the ideas progress more smoothly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You rely on basic descriptors like 'huge and massive' and 'good thing'. There are also several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'society environment', 'all type ages', and 'peaceful movements' (instead of 'moments'). While your meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of word-choice errors limit your score. Try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations related to media, privacy, and ethics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('it increase', 'individuals are come'), article usage ('a movies'), and pluralization ('a famous people'). Some sentences are fragmented or lack proper structure, which occasionally forces the reader to re-read to understand the intended meaning. While you attempt complex sentences, the high frequency of basic errors in tense and agreement prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for these fundamental grammatical rules.
