Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this modern era, the famous people mostly have to face the photographers regardless of where they are going. while some people contend that, this is a good thing since public want to know more and more about their life, others think that this is wrong to follow the famous people everytime with cameras in hand. As per my perspective, famous people should have freedom of wearing anything, going anywhere with anyone instead of following their each action.

Proponents of this trend believe that an ordinary person can become a celebrity only with the help of public, therefore they have a believe that it is their right to know about every tiny activity in celebrity's life. In addition to that, most of the celebrities motivate the public in their lives by playing a role of a role model. That is also one of the main reason why people always want to know about their lives. Such as, the famous singer Daljeet Dosanjh, whenever he came live in front of cameras, he always teaches people about believe in God, stay positive in their daily life, and do things which provide internal peace. As a result, people often search live of Daljeet to learn some valueable insights from him.

Opponents of this trend contend that, if these celebrities will be followed continuously by photographers, they will prevent to go out alone from their home due to the fear of exposing their personal life. As, no body has a right to interfere in anybody's life.

As per my opinion, the celebrities have their personal life so they should have freedom to go anywhere without any fear of following by photographers. Except from proving entertainment to the public by their acting, singing, and dancing, they want to spend their life alone in peace.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt: it discusses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the public's interest in role models versus the right to privacy. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The second paragraph provides a specific example, which is good, but the third paragraph is quite brief and lacks depth in explaining the consequences of paparazzi culture. To reach a higher band, ensure that both sides of the argument are explored with equal depth and that the personal opinion is integrated more smoothly into the conclusion rather than appearing as a separate, short paragraph.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In addition to that', 'As a result', and 'Opponents of this trend'. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'Except from proving entertainment', which is not a standard cohesive phrase. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect ideas more naturally rather than relying on simple sentence starters.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'contend' and 'valuable insights'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'famous people mostly have to face the photographers', 'search live of Daljeet', and 'fear of following by photographers'. Spelling errors like 'believe' (used as a noun) and 'valueable' also occur. To improve, focus on learning the correct word forms and collocations associated with common topics.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'while some people contend that, this is a good thing' (incorrect comma usage), 'they will prevent to go out' (incorrect verb form), and 'no body has a right' (should be 'nobody'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. To improve, the writer should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of infinitive versus gerund forms after certain verbs.
