Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is crystal clear that nowadays almost everyone like to get some photos by their own phones or by professional photographers, especially in events, tourist places and many more. Some people say that if famous people are photographed by professionals so then it is good thing, but I am agree with photographers are wrong to follow famous people.

On the one hand, I believe nowadays people are busy in their daily life even most of them do not have time for their families. Meanwhile, if photographers are spending their crucial time for celebrities or any other famous people's photos so they are wasting their time unnecessarily. Secondly, those professional photographers should do the jobs which would suitable for there photographing skills. for example, doing job for newspaper channels, T.V. shows, etc.

On the other hand, other people think that some photographers are like to follow famous people because they got higher money from them and from the viewers through social medial platforms. However, some photographers are know what public want how public crazy are for their celebrities and heroes. Specially youth are follow the trends which is carry by their heroes and photographers are help people to connect people to the famous one.

In conclusion, I agree that photographers should not follow famous people because, it is not life time job they should do some good jobs, which could help them for rest of their live.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. The essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the depth of the discussion. The arguments regarding photographers wasting time or needing to find 'better' jobs are not fully explored or supported with strong reasoning. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a more comprehensive discussion of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand'. Some transitions between sentences are abrupt, and the logical flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing. For example, the transition in the final paragraph is weak. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'life time job' instead of 'long-term career' and 'newspaper channels'. The repetition of basic words like 'people' and 'photographers' limits the sophistication of the writing. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition and demonstrate a more flexible command of the English language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'I am agree' instead of 'I agree', 'photographers are know' instead of 'photographers know', and 'which is carry by' instead of 'which is carried by'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally cause the reader to pause, though they do not completely impede communication. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct verb tense usage, and the proper construction of passive voice sentences.
