Student answer (Band 6.0)
People have different views about taking pictures of famous people by professional photographers is good or not. Some people think that nowadays, it is good to click pictures of renown people by photographers because public wants to see them, while others believe that photographers should not take pictures of famous people. This essay will discuss both sides of the issue before presenting why I believe that professional photographers are necessary for any kind of photography of famous people.
On the one hand, some people argue that photographers are wrong to follow famous people. Photographers should consider normal people as well. Furthermore, they should highlight the personality of people who can inspire others. For instance, if anyone wants to book professional photographers for their wedding then the professional photographers should take care of them instead of just taking pictures of famous people. Therefore, professional photographers should consider others as well to take photos.
On the other hand, others think and I believe that public are interested in the lives of famous people so professional photographers prefer to take their photographs everywhere they go. It is better that famous people are photographed by professional photographers because public wants to see their life. Moreover, public are influenced by influencers who are famous so they should be photographed. For example, several influencers in India hire professional photographers so that they can capture their moments and upload on social media where public follow them. Thus, this is a good thing to capture moments of famous people because public wants to see them.
In conclusion, although it is not good to take pictures of famous people by professional photographers, I believe that according to the public's interest, photographers should look after the famous people. Professional photographers should do whatever public wants to see.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument against photographers is underdeveloped, focusing on the idea that they should photograph 'normal people' at weddings, which is not directly relevant to the core issue of paparazzi or media intrusion. The supporting points are repetitive, particularly the reliance on the phrase 'public wants to see them.' To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced reasons, such as the ethical implications of privacy versus the public's right to information, rather than focusing on wedding photography.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'On the other hand,' and 'In conclusion' are used to signal the structure. However, the internal cohesion within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical. For example, the repetition of 'public wants to see them' at the end of multiple sentences makes the flow feel somewhat circular. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence builds upon the previous one would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You use basic terms like 'good thing' and 'take pictures' repeatedly. There are also some minor errors in word choice, such as 'renown people' instead of 'renowned people.' To improve, you should incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'privacy,' 'public interest,' 'media scrutiny,' or 'ethical boundaries.' The current range is sufficient to communicate your meaning, but it does not demonstrate the flexibility expected at a band 7 or above.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors. For example, 'taking pictures of famous people by professional photographers is good or not' is clunky and grammatically awkward. There are also issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'public are interested' (the public is) and 'public want' (the public wants). Additionally, some sentences are slightly fragmented or lack necessary articles. Increasing the accuracy of these basic structures and attempting more varied complex sentences would improve your score.
