Student answer (Band 6.0)

Pictures are overhyped to be posted everyday on different social sites. As a result, professional photographers usually follow famous characters all the time to get more and more information about them. A large number of individuals believe that this is a brilliant idea, nevertheless it is opposed by many on the ground that they should not record each and every moment of those celebrities. While both viewpoints have their merits, I strongly believe that they should not be filmed every time. This essay will examine both perspectives along with some relevant examples.

On the one hand, The most prominent point is that social media allows people to get all the information about any particular celebrity and in order to provide that information to general public, professionals follow the stars to record their pictures as well as videos because more they get to know where a particular person is going more the views/likes they will receive which can allow them to earn a big chunk of money. Not only ordinary people will get to know about influencers but also the recorders will gain publicity on the social sites which results in a win-win situation for both parties.

On the other hand, if this trend keeps becoming common then unlike general public famous personalities will never get to enjoy their off camera life which is the biggest drawback of being a star.

Furthermore, it results in revealing their personal lives in front of the public despite of the fact that if they want to share it or not.

In Conclusion, although both sides have merits and demerits, I undoubtedly believe that everyone has right to protect their own privacy and they should not be filmed in their personal spaces which will pave a path for them to enjoy a joyful life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both viewpoints and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the financial incentives for photographers and the loss of privacy for celebrities, these points are not fully extended with specific examples or deeper analysis. The essay is quite short, and the arguments remain at a surface level. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more detailed explanations and perhaps a concrete example of a specific celebrity or situation to illustrate your points more effectively. The position is consistent throughout, which is a strength.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'Furthermore'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical. For instance, the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph could be smoother. Additionally, some sentences are quite long and slightly convoluted, which can occasionally hinder the logical progression of your ideas. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You use a range of vocabulary that is generally appropriate for the task, such as 'prominent point', 'influencers', and 'publicity'. However, there are some instances of slightly unnatural phrasing, such as 'Pictures are overhyped to be posted' and 'recorders will gain publicity'. There is also a minor error in collocation: 'despite of the fact that' should simply be 'despite the fact that'. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing. Expanding your range of academic vocabulary would also help you move into a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are several grammatical errors that occur, such as 'more they get to know... more the views/likes they will receive' (which lacks proper article usage and structure) and 'everyone has right' (missing the article 'a'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the sentence structure in the second paragraph is quite repetitive and slightly awkward. To improve, focus on ensuring subject-verb agreement and correct article usage, and try to vary your sentence structures to include more sophisticated grammatical forms.
