Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument, but the development is inconsistent. While you mention job opportunities and public interest, the arguments are often tangential or lack logical depth. For instance, the link between professional photography and the Eiffel Tower is unclear and does not directly address the ethical debate regarding privacy. Your own opinion is mentioned in the introduction but is not clearly sustained or integrated into the conclusion, which is abrupt and lacks a summary of your stance. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a clear, relevant point that directly answers the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow within them is weak. Transitions are often mechanical or misused, such as 'To begin with' followed by a point about job seekers that lacks a clear connection to the topic. Referencing is sometimes confusing, and the progression of ideas is disjointed. For example, the jump from photography as a career to the Eiffel Tower lacks a cohesive link. To improve, use linking words more naturally and ensure that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one to create a unified argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often imprecise. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'Few masses say' and 'Ample of people getting their degree'. Some words are used incorrectly, such as 'deal' instead of 'a career path' or 'pathway'. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'celebrities' and 'social media', the overall range is narrow and repetitive. To reach a higher band, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary rather than relying on informal or incorrectly translated phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('individuals depends', 'photographer contain'), missing articles ('in same pathway', 'see the Eifel tower'), and punctuation errors. Sentence structures are generally simple, and attempts at complex sentences are often marred by errors in syntax. For example, 'Thesedays famous individuals are photographed...' contains a spelling error and awkward phrasing. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex structures.
