Student answer (Band 5.5)

The discussion of Professional phtotographers is surely on that begs the question of exactly how ethical is to take some famous personality photos without consent. In my opinion, every human have right to privacy, which should be honoured.

One clear fact is that most of the people like to have keen intrest in celebrities life's. Take for instance, there is a growing trend in the viewership of the daily blogs posted by the actors on social media platforms. To illustrate further, most of the social media stars likes to colab with each other, so there followers can be increased. Hence, they are showing what people like to see.

Nevertheless, Every person have right to privacy. Every famous celebrity needs personal time to spend with family and friends. This can be understood when considering their visit in public palce, they like to put face mask or cap such on airports, just to hide their identity. Therefore, the photographers needs to understand the personal space of a celeb and should not bother them.

Overall, I still opine that celebrities has their face value, the more time they spend infornt of camera, the more chances they have to get successfull, Nonetheless, the personal life of celebs should be respected by every body and give them some time to spend with their family.

To conclude, both sides presents strong arguments. However; I firmly believe that we should give me more personal space and always ask for consent before taking pictures in public.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the essay is slightly under the 250-word minimum, which impacts the development of ideas. While the arguments regarding public interest and the right to privacy are relevant, they are somewhat underdeveloped. The conclusion is brief and the overall development lacks the depth required for a higher band. Additionally, the position is clear, but the supporting examples, such as the mention of social media stars collaborating, are not fully linked to the core issue of professional photographers. To improve, ensure each paragraph provides more detailed explanation and analysis to meet the length requirement and fully explore the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic attempt at using cohesive devices such as 'Nevertheless', 'To illustrate further', and 'To conclude'. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel abrupt. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'they' in the second paragraph, which could refer to either the stars or the followers. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be strengthened by using a wider variety of linking words to connect the arguments more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. There are several spelling errors, such as 'phtotographers', 'intrest', 'palce', and 'infornt', which indicate a need for more careful proofreading. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive; for example, the word 'celebrity' or 'celebs' is used frequently. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of precise, academic vocabulary prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on using more varied synonyms and ensuring correct spelling of common words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('every human have', 'most of the social media stars likes', 'celebrities has'), incorrect article usage ('the celebrities life's'), and punctuation errors (the semicolon usage in the conclusion is incorrect). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on subject-verb agreement and proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy.
