Student answer (Band 6.5)
The growing popularity of paparazzi is very evident nowadays. It is a quick way to get famous and being noticed by the common people. However, in my view point, this culture is exploiting privacy of the celebrities.
Famous personalities getting photographed regularly is beneficial for pop-stars in recent years. They help to be connected with their audience and perhaps grow their online followers onthe social media. For instance, it is seen that many models and actors/actresses purposely call the professional photographers outside their gym and restaurantsthat they visit so that they can be shared online with their "candid pictures". These influence their fans to get styled like them. Many stylists and fashion brands have witnessed profits when these famous people promote their product like clothes or accessories.
On the contrary, the paprazzi sometimes impact personal lives of superstars negatively. They visit various places unannounced when the celebrities are not prepared to face them. They expose a person's private life. A few minth's ago an Indian actress was spending time with her son on their vacation in Bali. The media secretly took photographs of them eating at a beach. This actress never shared her child's pictures online she preferred to keep her child away from public eyes. Eventually, these photographs started circulating online and revealed the son's face.
Therefore, it is very crucial to draw a boundary where these famous people should be photographed and when they be avoided. These culture can make the celebrities more famous but at the same time, it can invade someone's privacy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the promotional benefits for celebrities and the ethical concerns regarding privacy. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the discussion on the benefits could be expanded further to explain the broader societal impact, and the example of the Indian actress is specific but could be better integrated into a more analytical argument. The conclusion is a bit brief and does not fully synthesize the points made. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a deeper exploration of the implications of the arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'However', 'For instance', 'On the contrary', and 'Therefore', which help guide the reader through the argument. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the transition between the benefits of paparazzi and the specific example of the Indian actress could be more fluid. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and there is a clear progression of ideas throughout the text, which is a strength of this response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, with some attempts at less common items like 'exploiting', 'unannounced', and 'circulating'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'view point' (should be 'viewpoint'), 'minth's' (spelling error for 'months'), and 'These culture' (should be 'This culture'). While the range is sufficient to convey the message clearly, the lack of more sophisticated or precise vocabulary prevents a higher score. Focusing on more natural collocations and ensuring correct word forms will help improve this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'These influence their fans' (should be 'This influences'), 'when they be avoided' (should be 'when they should be avoided'), and 'These culture' (should be 'This culture'). Punctuation is generally functional, though there are minor issues with spacing and missing articles. While the errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher band. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of modal verbs in passive constructions.
