Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that photography benefits celebrities' careers and provides employment, the explanation remains superficial. Similarly, the argument regarding the negative impact on the public is a bit repetitive and lacks specific examples or deeper analysis. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph fully explores the 'why' and 'how' behind your points, rather than just stating them. The position is consistent, but the overall depth of the argument needs to be more robust to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In conclusion' and 'While', but the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical. For example, the transition between the benefits of photography and the negative impact on the public feels abrupt. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as the use of 'they' and 'their' in the second paragraph, which makes it difficult to track whether you are referring to the photographers or the celebrities. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help the essay flow more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'technophile', 'neophile', and 'prominent'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'appropriate social accounts' instead of 'respective social media profiles' and 'clicked their photos' instead of 'photographed them'. Spelling errors like 'celeberities', 'thier', 'paparazi', and 'indivual' are frequent and occasionally distract the reader. To improve, focus on learning the correct collocations for common phrases and proofread carefully to eliminate basic spelling mistakes, which will allow you to access higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'photography of famous people are concerned'), missing articles ('is good thing'), and incorrect preposition usage. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces placed before commas in several instances. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to lower the score. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and article usage, and practice constructing more complex sentences with accurate punctuation.
