Student answer (Band 5.5)
Here we are talking about someone's personal life inspite of the fact that they belong to elite group of the society, which everyone wants to follow and have a look on there lives . The photographer plays a vital role in spreading the favourable topics that everybody wants to learn about , how they spend there lives , what is the way they perform their rituals , how they follow their daily routines and what not . The photographer follows a famous personality and performe their jobs very well and get appreciated by the people to gather information for them on very inferior prices and easy to access but they forget that everyone have an individuality of their own and they have legal right to live without any interference and the nuisance in their lives . It is very important to understand that one should know about others rights too because individually we all want same things in life like to live freely and to go out everywhere independently without being followed . Everyone wants to live a life without being judged and misjudged because it is human nature to judge without knowing someone's problems and about their actual selves. One should understand the value of life and their freedom as an individual. I have noticed these things alot because I love my freedom and I look at a person as an individual not as a celebrity or any renowned person. They also crave for the life a commener live. Apart from the jobs of photography it is important to make sure not to follow someone till their edge of patience.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument, acknowledging the public interest in celebrities and the ethical concerns regarding privacy. However, the development is somewhat limited. The essay lacks a clear structure, such as distinct paragraphs for each viewpoint and a separate conclusion for your own opinion. The ideas are presented in a single block, which makes it difficult to follow the progression of your argument. To improve, ensure you clearly state your position in the introduction and dedicate specific paragraphs to each perspective, providing concrete examples or deeper analysis to support your claims. The current response feels more like a stream of consciousness rather than a structured essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks paragraphing, which is a fundamental requirement for a coherent response. While there is a logical flow of ideas, the lack of clear transitions between the two viewpoints makes the argument feel disjointed. You rely on simple connectors like 'and' or 'but' rather than a variety of cohesive devices (e.g., 'furthermore', 'conversely', 'consequently'). To reach a higher band, you must organize your response into clear paragraphs—an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion—and use a wider range of linking words to guide the reader through your argument more effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range expected at higher levels. You use some repetitive phrasing, such as 'how they spend their lives' and 'everyone wants to live'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'inferior prices' (likely meaning 'low cost') and 'nuisance in their lives'. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to media, privacy, and ethics. Avoid repeating basic words and focus on using more sophisticated synonyms to express your ideas with greater clarity and impact.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'everyone have an individuality'), incorrect word forms (e.g., 'performe'), and punctuation errors. There are also several spelling mistakes, such as 'inspite' (in spite) and 'commener' (commoner). While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading your work to correct basic subject-verb agreement and spelling issues, and practice using more complex sentence structures with greater accuracy.
