Student answer (Band 6.0)

Today, a famous personality is photographed by the most professional photographers. Some would say that is good because people are eager to live their lives, while others say that is negetive impact on their lives. I will discuss both viewpoints along with my opinion.

On the one hand, famous people always want to give photographs so they can live in the spotlight. More clearly, nowadays, everyperson use mobile phone, and they keep in touch with the people who are ideal for them. Individuals are more interested in their favorite personalities than in how they live their lives, and sometimes follow them in their own lives. For example, in India, Virat Kohli, a famous cricketer, always gets the spotlight when they visit airports.

On the other hand, the media spreads wrong information about people who are not interested in clicking photos. In other words, people do not feel safe because they are constantly followed by photographers. Sometimes news people spread negativity about individuals if they do not like them. As a result, people hate them without knowing the reasons behind it. For instance, in America, Princess Elisabeth died by suicide because of constant following by the media with her boyfriend.

In conclusion, some people say that it is good to take photos, while some say is negative impact on their lives. they live always in spotlights, so they gain attention from many people and earn money from that. However, sometimes the media spreads wrong information about them; as a result, they die by suicide. In my opinion, it is good if person are want to be famous in their field.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, including both viewpoints and a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and occasionally lacks clarity. For instance, the argument regarding the public's interest in celebrities is a bit repetitive, and the example of Princess Diana (referred to as 'Princess Elisabeth') is factually inaccurate and lacks sufficient depth to support the point effectively. The conclusion provides a summary but the personal opinion is somewhat vague, stating only that it is 'good if person are want to be famous'. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced reasoning and ensure your examples are accurate and well-integrated into the argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. There is a logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'More clearly' and 'In other words'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the pronoun 'they' is used ambiguously. While the essay is coherent overall, the transitions between ideas could be smoother and more varied to improve the flow of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is some repetition of basic terms like 'famous', 'people', and 'lives'. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'spotlight' and 'negativity', but there are instances of awkward word choice, such as 'give photographs' instead of 'pose for photographs' or 'news people' instead of 'journalists' or 'paparazzi'. Spelling errors, such as 'negetive', also occur. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider variety of synonyms to express your ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('everyperson use', 'person are want') and article usage ('the most professional photographers'). Some sentences are structurally awkward, such as 'people are eager to live their lives', which does not accurately convey the intended meaning of being interested in celebrities' lives. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic subject-verb agreement and sentence construction will significantly improve your score.
