Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is ongoing debate about whether well known people should be photographed by professional photographers wherever they go. While some people believe that this is acceptable because the public is fascinated by celebrities' loves, others opine that photographer should not follow famous individuals. So, I firmly believe that former view has a more advantages. Hence, I will elaborate on reasons with relevant examples in these paragraphs.
To commence with, there are several reasons why people support professional photographers taking pictures famous person. First and foremost reason is that celebrities attract considerable public attention, and many people are curious about their personal and professional lives. Photographs can provide entertainment and information about latest updates of their lives. A clear example of this is that 55% of fans may be interested in seeing picture of their famous actors attending events, travelling or spending time with their families. Moreover, celebrities' photographs can important source for income for newspaper, magazine and online social media platform. As a result, professional photographer help satisfy the public's demand for celebrity news.
On the other hand, following famous people everywhere can seriously affect their privacy and personal freedom. Celebrities are also ordinary people who distract people from their career. Constant photography can make them feel stressed, uncomfortable and even unsafe, particularly photographers follow them without permission. Furthermore, excessive media attention can sometimes led to misleading stories or photographs that negative affect's a person's attention.
In my opinion, although the public has a legitimate interest in the lives and careers of famous people, this does not justify photographers follow them everywhere. Professional photographs should be respect reasonable boundaries and obtain permission when taking pictures in private situations.
To sum up, it can be said that photographs of famous people can provide entertainment and meet public interest, as well as benefits the media industry. However, constantly following celebrities is intrusive and can negative affect their lives. Therefore, I believe that photographers should respect celebrities photographs.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While the first body paragraph provides a specific statistic (55%), the reasoning in the second paragraph is slightly repetitive and lacks depth. The position is clear, but the argument could be strengthened by exploring the nuance of 'public interest' versus 'individual rights' more thoroughly. The conclusion is a bit contradictory, as the introduction states the writer supports the photographers, but the body paragraphs and conclusion lean heavily toward the negative impact on celebrities. This inconsistency in the stance slightly weakens the overall task response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'First and foremost', and 'On the other hand' are used to guide the reader. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'So, I firmly believe that former view has a more advantages'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the overall progression of ideas could be smoother to achieve a higher band score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'fascinated', 'legitimate interest', and 'intrusive'. However, there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'the former view has a more advantages' (should be 'more advantages'), 'can important source' (missing 'be'), and 'negative affect's' (should be 'negatively affects'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of the writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles, verb forms, and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'photographer should not follow', 'professional photographer help', 'photographers should be respect'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of these grammatical slips prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. The majority of sentences are understandable, but the errors are noticeable and occur throughout the text.
