Student answer (Band 5.5)
In these days renown individuals are photographed by professional photographers everywhere they go. This trend has become debatable with many people claiming that it is beneficial because common populace
are interested in their lives while others reject this notion. The substantial influence of this trend has sparked the controversy over the potential impact in the recent years. In my opinion both vies are of equal strength, but I favor the former point of view. Their are a myriad of reasons to prove for this favor.
First and foremost reason is that people are very crazy to follow the lifestyle of the famous people. They are very keen to know what they eat and what they wear. In our society many people follow their fashion blindly. In other words, it is true that the famous people follow the modern trend and common people follow the famous people.
In this digital era, it has become very convenient to trace the famous people, social media is full with their stories and activities. Now people feel pride to imitate the famous people.
Furthermore, this trend has significantly increased due to the development and growth of fashion industry and advertisement industry. People has become more conscious about the latest trends, and they find satisfaction and fulfilment in following the famous people.
On the other hand, some people do not like to follow the famous figures. they have their own level of satisfaction. They might be not impressed by their lifestyles as other people. So it is the matter of personal appreciation.
To recapitulate, it is proved that if someone follow the famous people or some not, depends on personal liking.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views on paparazzi and famous people, and the student provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas tends to be repetitive. For instance, the argument that common people want to follow celebrity lifestyles is reiterated across multiple sentences without being extended with concrete examples or deeper insights. Phrases like 'Their are a myriad of reasons to prove for this favor' show an attempt to outline supporting points, but these points remain somewhat generalized and under-developed. Despite these limitations in depth, the core task requirements are met, warranting a solid Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The response demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and a brief conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost reason', 'In this digital era', and 'On the other hand' are employed to guide the reader through the text. However, paragraphing is somewhat irregular, with several very short paragraphs that disrupt the flow and logical progression. Referencing and linking are occasionally mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent reliance on 'the famous people'. Progression is somewhat hindered by this repetitive structure, placing this criterion at Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms such as 'professional photographers', 'beneficial', 'digital era', and 'advertisement industry'. However, there are noticeable lexical errors, such as 'renown individuals' instead of 'renowned individuals', 'vies' instead of 'views', and the awkward collocation 'people are very crazy to follow'. Additionally, spelling and word-choice errors like 'common populace' (missing article) and 'personal appreciation' slightly detract from precision, though they do not impede communication overall. These characteristics align with Band 6.0 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over basic structures. However, grammatical errors and awkward phrasing are frequent throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('People has become more conscious'), incorrect existential phrasing ('Their are a myriad of reasons'), and missing articles ('First and foremost reason'). Punctuation is also faulty in places, such as lowercase letters starting sentences after periods (e.g., 'they have their own level'). While communication remains clear, the frequency of errors prevents the grammar score from reaching Band 6.0, placing it at a Band 5.5.
