Student answer (Band 6.0)

In todays era, it has become common that when celebrities tavel they get photographed by professional photographers. Some people think this is positive trend and audience are attracted to their lives. However, others belive that it is not fair to stock the famous people and expose their personal life infront of the world.I completly agree with the given statement and its true how photographers follow them.

Firstly, if photographers snapped the famous people public comes to know about their lifestyle and sometime upcoming events happening in the city. This is the proud movement for their fans who come to know about their living standards and activities doing on the daily basis when they get promoted through social media by paparazzis. For Example: people are able to see photos of celebrities at award ceremonies or public events through photographers which they are unable to see in person. This all help the public to remain updated about famous people and they show more interest in their lives by scrolling them on internet.

On the other hand, Celebrities also have right to privacy and personal space in their life. If everytime photographers will stock them and any constant photograph get uploaded to public which can cause the stress and embarrassment in their lives without any reason. Moreover, paparazzies should not take the pictures when they are with their family or children because sometimes their family affairs can get expose infront of public which will be not good for their image as they have big fan base and get them into big trouble.

To conclude, I understand its good to click the pictures of celebrities because public is interested in their lives and want to know about them in detail but, I believe photographers should respect their privacy and click the pictures when they are alone or attending any public events.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—the positive public interest and the privacy concerns—and provides a clear personal opinion. The ideas are generally relevant, but the development is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on how photographs provide updates about celebrities' lifestyles is a bit superficial. Furthermore, your stance in the introduction contains a minor contradiction ('I completly agree with the given statement' followed by the discussion of both views), although your conclusion clarifies your balanced position. To reach a higher band, the arguments need deeper extension and more precise supporting examples rather than general assertions.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is arranged into four paragraphs with a clear overall progression. Standard cohesive devices and transition markers are used, such as 'Firstly', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude'. However, some of the referencing and logical transitions within paragraphs are a bit mechanical or faulty. For example, the sentence 'This all help the public to remain updated' has a weak pronoun reference, and paragraph transitions occasionally feel abrupt. Paragraphing is utilised sufficiently, but the management of internal cohesion requires more flexibility to achieve a higher band score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, with attempts at less common items such as 'lifestyle', 'paparazzis', 'privacy', and 'embarrassment'. However, there are noticeable word choice errors and spelling mistakes throughout the text, such as 'todays' instead of 'today's', 'tavel' instead of 'travel', 'belive' instead of 'believe', 'stock' instead of 'stalk', and 'expose' instead of 'exposed'. These lexical inaccuracies and occasional spelling slips restrict the score to a 5.5, as they occasionally detract from precision and smooth readability.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ('if photographers snapped the famous people public comes to know...') and relative clauses. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and missing articles (e.g., 'celebrities tavel', 'photographers snapped... public comes', 'everytime photographers will stock them', 'cause the stress'). Punctuation is also flawed in places, such as missing spaces after commas and periods. While communication is not impeded, the frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a Band 6.
