Student answer (Band 6.0)
These days, popular individuals are photographed everywhere they go.While some peope views these positive because of public interest in their lives, others think their right to privacy should be maintained even as they grow their fame.
On the one hand, celebrities are always at the lime-light, feeding the public with their day to day activities, as captured by the photographers through their social media handles. This feeds satisfies the curosity of their fan who wants to know everything going on with them and at the same time, increases their income and net worth. The entertainment industry is not left out as the constant post of these individuals promotes the industry sales and increases their profit.
On the other hand, these individuals are humans who desire some private and family time which should be respected by the photographers. Frequent imaging, infringes their relaxation and rest time and most often times results to stress, exhaustion, and some other mental health issues. Again, this can infringe their family time in that constant photographing can disrupt their family vacation causing strain on the family members.
While potographing the celebrities enables them reach their followers, satisfying their quest and generting income to them individually, and to the entertainment industry at large, I believe the private and family life of these persons should be respected as it is their basic human right.
In conclusion, constant photographing of celebrities activities satifies the curiosity of their followers, increasing their networth and generating revenue for the industry and negatively impacting their health. However, balance should be striked to ensure their private and family life is secured.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on photographing celebrities and presenting a clear personal position. The first body paragraph successfully explores the argument that constant media coverage satisfies public interest and boosts net worth and industry sales. The second body paragraph outlines the counterargument regarding the infringement on privacy, stress, and family disruptions. The conclusion neatly recaps these main points and reinforces your stance. To achieve a higher band score, the arguments could be extended further with more detailed examples or specific scenarios rather than broad generalizations. However, your overall position is clear throughout, and the task requirements are fully satisfied.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a clear overall progression with a recognizable introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, a discussion incorporating your opinion, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' are employed effectively to guide the reader through the differing perspectives. Paragraphing is used logically to separate distinct themes. Minor flaws exist in referencing and mechanical cohesion, such as 'This feeds satisfies' where the pronoun reference is slightly loose, and some occasional clunkiness in transitions. Nevertheless, the organization is coherent and easy to follow throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'infringes', 'exhaustion', and 'basic human right'. However, there are several noticeable vocabulary errors, word-choice slips, and spelling mistakes that prevent a higher score. Examples include 'peope' instead of people, 'views' instead of view, 'lime-light' instead of limelight, 'curosity' instead of curiosity, 'potographing' instead of photographing, 'generting' instead of generating, and 'striked' instead of struck. Despite these errors, communication is rarely impeded, and the vocabulary remains minimally adequate to convey your main arguments.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating your ability to construct multi-clause sentences such as 'While some peope views these positive because of public interest in their lives, others think their right to privacy should be maintained...'. However, there are frequent grammatical and punctuation errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'peope views' and 'This feeds satisfies', missing articles, and awkward punctuation around commas. While these errors do not completely obscure your meaning, they occur regularly enough to restrict the band score to a solid functional level.
