Student answer (Band 7.0)
These days, famous people are being followed by professional photographers everywhere. According to some people, it is absolutely fine to follow them, as thier admirers want to know about their lives. On the other hand, some find it wrong to follow them everywhere. I will discuss both views, but in my opinion, it is wrong to photograph famous people anywhere, as they also want to be treated as ordinary human beings and live normal lives. Documenting the daily lives of renowned personalities can be beneficial for thier admirers, as they can compare their normal and glamorous work lives. If they want to join the same field as their favourite characters, they can have an idea about how tough or easy it is to manage their profession and daily routines. Will they be able to keep a balance between family and work? For example, my brother was so much inspired by an actor, Ahsan Khan, that he decided to join drama industry as well. But, when he saw his pcitures working hard in the gym to maintain his physical appearance and eating boiled vegetables, he decided to not pursue this field. On the other hand, following these personalities everywhere can cause damage to their mental health, as they have to maintain their dressing, every where they go, knowing that they are being followed by photographers, and their pictures will be seen by their supporters. Additionally, they want to spend time with their families in private. Sometimes, the mental pressure builds up so much that they end up developing anxiety and depression. For instance, one of the famous film actor in my country left the industry lsat year, as he could not cop up with the stress of staying well groomed all day to look good in photographs clicked by paparazzi. That is why I agree with this statement. In conclusion, although public can enjoy and cherish the photographs of the daily activites of the famous people, but it can cost their mental health, and they can end their careers. They should be given privacy to enjoy their lives with their friends and families. Nowadays famous people are photographed by professional photographers everywhere they go. Some people say this is a good thing because the public are interested in their lives. Other people think that photographers are wrong to follow famous people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—the public's interest in famous people versus the invasion of privacy—and provides a clear personal opinion throughout the essay. The introduction clearly states the writer's stance, which is maintained consistently to the conclusion. Ideas are extended and well supported with relevant examples, such as the mention of the actor Ahsan Khan and the general mental health pressures faced by celebrities. Although there is a minor repetition at the very end where a sentence from the prompt is accidentally restated, the main arguments are fully developed and relevant, easily satisfying the requirements for a Band 7.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay displays clear logical organisation and progression throughout. Information and ideas are grouped into logical paragraphs, with a discernible introduction, body paragraphs discussing both sides, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand', 'Additionally', and 'For instance' are used appropriately to guide the reader through the arguments. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, although referencing is occasionally slightly repetitive. Despite a minor issue with an accidental restatement of the prompt text at the very end of the text, the overall flow remains coherent, fully justifying a Band 7.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The student demonstrates a sufficient range of vocabulary for the task, allowing for some flexibility and precision with terms like 'renowned personalities', 'glamorous work lives', and 'mental pressure'. Less common items are attempted with decent awareness of style and collocation, such as 'cop up with' (though this contains a minor preposition error, intended as 'cope with'). There are a few spelling slips ('thier', 'pcitures', 'lsat year'), but these do not impede communication. The vocabulary range is adequate to convey precise meanings, placing the response solidly in the Band 6.5 to 7 range; a 6.5 is awarded to reflect the occasional spelling and word-choice inaccuracies.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The writer uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms effectively, incorporating conditional structures ('If they want to join...') and relative clauses. There is good control of overall sentence structure, and communication is never impeded. However, a number of grammatical errors and slips persist, such as spelling typos ('lsat year'), minor preposition or phrasal verb inaccuracies ('cop up with'), and minor punctuation flaws. Because the majority of sentences are clear and the writer demonstrates a competent grasp of complex structures despite these recurring minor errors, a Band 6.5 is fully appropriate.
