Student answer (Band 6.0)

In contemporary era, renowned people are followed and captured by media at every place. Although it make them more famous and noticed, it disturb their private life. In my point of view, media should respact their privacy and take the permission before click and share their pictures.

On the one hand, it helps well-known people to get more famous. General public shows their interest to know every aspect of their lives. People follow various social media profiles to know more about their favourite celebrities such as Salman khan is very famous actor who is running a public welfare campaign known as "Being human". His fans are keen to know everything about him. Moreover, it creates a plateform for famous people to promote their business. For instance, It hepls actors to do promotion of their new movies and to annouce the releasing dates of their movies. Therefore, photography plays crucial role for public as well as for celebrities.

On the other hand, it disturbs private life of famous people. They feel like they are being watched all the time. Since they are famous, they have rights to keep their life private. They do not feel freedom to go outside. They need special security everytime. Sometimes, they feel stressed to make any plans. Thus, they feel stressed and annoyed with media.

In conclusion, the photography of famous people should be done with their permission. Media have no rights to expose their lives without asking them for permission. So, taking pictures of renowned people can be limited

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the task, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The student suggests on the one hand that media attention helps celebrities gain fame and promote businesses, exemplified by 'Salman khan is very famous actor who is running a public welfare campaign', and on the other hand argues that it intrudes on their privacy and causes stress. The position is maintained throughout the essay and supported with relevant explanations and examples, fulfilling the requirements for Band 6.5 to 7.0. However, the development in places is slightly repetitive, which keeps the score at Band 6.5.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is divided into clear paragraphs, following a logical structure with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used to signal transitions, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, referencing and transitions are at times slightly mechanical or repetitive, and paragraphing could be improved to better connect ideas. Overall, the arrangement is coherent and easy to follow, aligning closely with the Band 6 descriptor.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common terms such as 'contemporary era', 'welfare campaign', and 'crucial role'. However, there are several noticeable lexical and spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'respact' instead of respect, 'plateform' instead of platform, and awkward phrasing like 'capture by media at every place'. These errors do not impede overall communication, but they restrict the lexical score to Band 6.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing conditionals and relative clauses such as 'Although it make them more famous...'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('Although it make them', 'Media have no rights') and article usage ('take the permission', 'do promotion'). Punctuation and capitalization errors also occur, such as lowercase letters at the beginning of sentences and uncapitalized proper names ('Salman khan'). These non-systematic errors place the grammar firmly in the Band 5.5 to 6.0 range.
