Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to discuss both views regarding paparazzi and provides a personal opinion, thus addressing all parts of the task broadly. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times unclear due to expression issues. For instance, the student mentions that famous people 'tell the all things about their life they impress the population and get an excellent views,' but this argument is not fully extended or supported with clear, logical reasoning. The position is stated ('In my opinion I belevie that its a good thing'), but the supporting details tend to be repetitive and lack depth. While the task is addressed, the execution falls into the Band 5 descriptor because the ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed, and the argument lacks cohesive progression and clear elaboration.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, which is a positive feature, but the overall organisation and progression lack clarity. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, resulting in a disjointed reading experience. For example, transition phrases like 'Firstly' and 'Secendly' are used, but the sentences within the paragraphs do not flow logically from one to the next. Referencing is frequently unclear, as seen in sentences like 'by the popular celeberty many peoples also want their life wi that they live their according them.' Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal structure of the paragraphs is weak, meaning there is no clear overall progression of ideas, aligning the response with Band 4 descriptors.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The lexical resource is very basic and heavily impacted by spelling and word-choice errors that frequently strain the reader. There are numerous non-standard spellings throughout the text, such as 'famouse' instead of famous, 'individules', 'eassyIi', 'intertanment', 'socil', 'stlye', 'faction', 'celeberty', 'globle', 'benefical', and 'caulter'. While the student attempts to use less common vocabulary like 'entertainment', 'information', and 'tradition', the high frequency of errors in spelling and collocation ('face dicections', 'living area') places this response firmly at Band 4, where basic vocabulary and frequent errors impede smooth communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
Grammatically, the response displays a very limited range of structures, with frequent errors that regularly cause difficulty for the reader and distort meaning. Simple sentences are frequently constructed with missing verbs, incorrect verb forms, or severe structural flaws, such as 'Some individules says that its is a good and other say that its a bad hobit for the other peoples' and 'famouse citizens photographered by the camera man they tell the all things.' Complex structures are attempted—for instance, using relative clauses or conditional-like ideas—but they are consistently faulty. Punctuation is also problematic, with erratic spacing and misuse of commas and full stops, matching the Band 4 descriptors.
