Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent years, Well-known personalities have their pictures taken by professional photographers wherever they go. Some people think that this is a positive development because the public prefers to know about their lifestyle. Others oppose this, arguing that photographers do not have the right to follow celebrities all the time. I firmly believe that if famous people are happy to be in a centre then we do not need to argue about this.

On the one hand, Many people are in favor of media that they are allow to click images of celebrities. Because it is their job. Also, people do like to know about their favorite celebrities' personal life. Especially, girls prefer to check out their outfits and jwellery. Some are interested to know about at which place famous people go for a dinner or which luxrious car they are using. People only get to know about this things from the pictures and videos taken by the media photographers. As a result, they are in support of this development.

On the other hand, many people do not encorage this idea. According to them, Cameraman are destroying peoples' privacy by following them. Although well-known people do not argue with them, sometimes they look so uncomfortable. For instance, Many photographer try to take pictures of women in such angles that expose their undergarments or private parts. It is a very bad mindset to have for anyone. However, I think, celebrities do need of a media to promote their movie or work. It it their choice to stay relevent in front of the public. Untill they are not worried about photographers then we don have to debate too much about it. For example, Indian cricketer already told to the media reporters that never click pictures of my children. Though, last week he was arriving for an airport and someone took the picture of his daugther. Then it is very wrong.

To conclusion, some people think photographers are just doing their job by following big personalities. While others are looking at the negetive aspects of this. In my view it is totaly dependent on the invidiual.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views on celebrity photography and providing a personal opinion. The writer's position is clear throughout the essay, stating that the situation depends on individual celebrities' comfort levels and preferences. Ideas are generally relevant, such as the public interest in fashion and lifestyles, as well as ethical concerns regarding privacy. However, some arguments lack full extension and suffer from minor over-generalizations and somewhat simplistic development. For example, the point about celebrities needing the media for movie promotion is raised but not fully expanded. Despite these minor limitations, the main task requirements are met adequately, aligning well with the descriptors for Band 6.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at paragraphing, separating the introduction, the two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and the conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty and mechanical. For instance, transitional phrases like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' are used, but sentence-to-sentence linking can be abrupt. There are also referencing issues, such as 'that they are allow to click images' and 'this things', which weaken logical flow. Paragraphing is present, but the final conclusion paragraph contains a fragment ('To conclusion, some people think... In my view it is totaly dependent on the invidiual.'). These features place the response solidly at Band 6.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating topic-related terms such as 'professional photographers', 'personal life', 'privacy', and 'luxurious car'. However, there are numerous lexical errors and spelling mistakes throughout the text, including 'Well-known' (unnecessary capitalization), 'jwellery', 'luxrious', 'encorage', 'Cameraman', 'relevent', 'Untill', 'invidiual', and 'totaly'. While these errors do not severely impede communication because the context remains clear, they reflect a lack of precision and prevent the vocabulary score from reaching a higher band. The lexical resource aligns best with Band 5.5, rounded to 6.0 or given as 5.5 based on frequent mechanical errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing conditional structures ('I firmly believe that if famous people are happy...') and subordinate clauses. However, there is a high frequency of grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms, prepositions, and sentence fragments. Examples include 'media that they are allow to click', 'know about at which place', 'Many photographer try', 'celebrities do need of a media', 'It it their choice', 'we don have to debate', and 'Indian cricketer already told'. Punctuation is also problematic, with improper capitalization after commas and periods. These recurring errors occasionally cause minor difficulty for the reader and reflect Band 5 grammatical control.
