Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this contemporary era, there are contrasting views where one section of society believes that celebrities who get regularly stalked by media personnel in order to gain the knowledge about their private lives are positive thing, while the opposing view suggests that following famous people with cameras are unnecessary and unjustified. I will discuss both view points in detail over subsequent paragraphs.
To commence with, famous people are popular for a reason. They have created an image of themselves where general citizens are in awe of them because of the amount of money they have or the way they promote their lives on screens. Moreover, such actors are everywhere nowadays. To exemplify, mostly celebrities are either acting on bigscreen, promoting businesses or posting on social media. As a reason, it causes curiosity in our minds. Hence, locals seems to be invested heavily in knowing their personal lives apart from digital media.
On the contrary, stars have a right to privacy and can keep things confidential to themselves. To elaborate further, certain information cannot be disclosed on online platforms whether it is in a form of photographs or in newspaper. Because, if such details about their lives are disclosed to people, they might get criticised harshly. It can lead to anxiety, depression and such sorts of mental diseases. the afore-mentioned reasons substantiate why stars should not be followed everywhere they go.
To recapitulate, this essay clearly discussed that due to significant presence of famous people all around us, it leads to major involvment in their private lives, while such curiosity about their lives can have adverse effects on their mental health. From my perspective, celebrities should not be followed without their permission. However, famous people should share crucial details from their intimate lives with their fans.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response successfully addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that public interest justifies photographing celebrities and that celebrities deserve privacy—while also providing a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. The ideas are generally well-developed and supported with relevant explanations regarding curiosity and mental health. For instance, the discussion on how heavy media presence and constant exposure lead to public curiosity is clear, and the counter-argument regarding the psychological risks of disclosure is effectively articulated. However, the position in the introduction contains a minor grammatical clash (stating that celebrities getting stalked is a 'positive thing' when the prompt discusses different perspectives), and the development could be slightly more extended to reach the highest band levels. Nevertheless, all prompt requirements are fulfilled satisfactorily, earning a solid Band 6.5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at logical progression. The text is divided into four paragraphs, including a clear introduction, two body paragraphs exploring opposing views, and a concluding summary. Cohesive devices are used to signal transitions, such as 'To commence with', 'On the contrary', and 'To recapitulate'. However, some of the cohesive referencing and punctuation are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'As a reason, it causes curiosity' and missing spaces after periods in the third paragraph (e.g., 'to themselves. To elaborate further'). Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, but the flow between sentences could occasionally be smoother. Overall, the organizational structure is easy to follow, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items and topical phrases such as 'contemporary era', 'media personnel', 'confidential', and 'mental diseases'. However, there are noticeable word-choice and collocation inaccuracies throughout the text, such as 'gain the knowledge about' instead of 'gain knowledge about', 'bigscreen' written as one word, and 'mental diseases' instead of 'mental health issues'. Spelling and word-formation errors do not impede communication, but they prevent the vocabulary score from reaching a higher band. The lexical range is sufficient to convey the intended meaning, matching the criteria for a Band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at varied structures such as relative clauses ('who get regularly stalked') and conditional frameworks ('if such details... are disclosed'). However, the text contains several grammatical errors and punctuation slips. For example, there is a subject-verb agreement issue ('locals seems to be'), missing articles ('in a form of photographs or in newspaper'), and punctuation spacing issues. While these errors are noticeable and require some concentration from the reader, they rarely impede overall communication. The command of grammar and punctuation represents a typical Band 6 performance.
