Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the recent decades, it has become a trend to record the the life of well known people. Public opinions are varied on this concept. While mazor part of the population shows interest in their lives, there are still some people who believes that this is not the right thing to do. We will discuss this concept in the upcoming paragraphs and will provide our opinion as well.
To begin with, there is a surge in the number of movies which are completely based on showing life of wealthy people, for example; Desi Bling on Netfix and many more. A huge budget is spent every year on this specific type of series. Futhermore, separate pages have been running on news channels and social media that only provide updates on their lives. In result, these platforms earns a drastic amount of revenue. Not only this, it also provides more employment opportunities.
In contrast, the side effects of this protography aspect can not be ignored. Now a days, people have more interest in knowing what these famous people are wearing or consuming than nature, science and history which misleads them in multiple aspects of their lives. To explain further, mankind starts matching to their lifestyle which is not practically possible as not everybody is as rich as these celebrities are and they end up spending their hard earned money on goods and services which they do not actually need.
To conclude, the goal of photographers should be more diversified than just making collage of wealthy human lifestyle as being rich is not the only meaning of a good life. A human life carries more value than just dinning in five star restaurant and living in a villa.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—the public interest supporting paparazzi and the counter-argument that following celebrities is harmful—while also offering an opinion. The introduction sets up the discussion, and body paragraphs explore both sides. For instance, the student points out that media platforms generate revenue and employment from celebrity culture, while counteracting this with the idea that public obsession misleads people into unsustainable spending. However, some ideas are a bit general and under-developed, particularly the leap regarding nature, science, and history. Overall, the task is addressed adequately and a clear position is established throughout, fitting the Band 6 descriptor well.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, starting with an introduction, followed by two body paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are employed, such as To begin with, In contrast, and To conclude, which help guide the reader through the structure. However, referencing is occasionally faulty or mechanical, as seen in phrases like In result instead of As a result, and some transitions feel slightly repetitive or abrupt. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, but the logical progression between sentences could be smoother to reach higher band levels.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'revenue', 'employment opportunities', and 'diversified'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that occur throughout the response, such as 'mazor' instead of major, 'Netfix' instead of Netflix, 'Futhermore' instead of Furthermore, 'protography' instead of photography, and 'dinning' instead of dining. These lexical slips and minor inaccuracies prevent the score from reaching a higher band, though they do not seriously impede overall communication of the core ideas.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating relative clauses and conditional-like structures such as 'people have more interest in knowing what these famous people are consuming than nature...'. There are, however, several grammatical and punctuation errors present, including missing articles ('record the the life', 'showing life of wealthy people'), spelling-related typos, and awkward phrasing like 'mankind starts matching to their lifestyle'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, and while errors exist, they rarely impede communication, placing the response squarely within the Band 6 criteria for grammar.
