Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response attempts to discuss both views regarding paparazzi and famous people, agreeing with the idea that public interest justifies it. However, the task achievement is significantly hindered by the length requirement, as the response falls short of the 250-word minimum, containing only 226 words. Furthermore, the ideas are underdeveloped and repetitive, relying on vague generalizations such as "it is the era of showing off" rather than fully exploring the social implications of media attention and privacy. While a position is stated, the arguments lack sufficient extension and relevant examples, keeping this criterion at a band 5.0 level.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

Coherence and cohesion are problematic throughout the text. Paragraphing is irregular, with excessive spacing and unusual structures like "To Sum up,", followed by fragmented and disjointed sentences. Cohesive devices are either misused or absent, making it difficult to follow the logical progression of ideas. For instance, transitional phrases like "than this things people more crazy that y this is good thing" fail to connect clauses smoothly. Referencing is also unclear, particularly with pronouns like "this" and "they," which often lack clear antecedents. Overall arrangement feels chaotic, corresponding to a band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The lexical resource is limited and basic, with frequent spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally impede understanding. Examples include "beacouse," "intrested," "mostaly," and "genertions." The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as "professional photographers" and "strategy," but lacks the precision required for higher bands. Phrasing is often awkward, as seen in expressions like "growing the photographer career in field." While the vocabulary is adequate to convey a rudimentary message, persistent spelling and collocation inaccuracies restrict the score to a band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The grammatical range is extremely limited, consisting mostly of simple and heavily flawed complex sentences. There are frequent punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after commas and periods, run-on sentences, and fragmented clauses (e.g., "Nowadays,it is the era of showing off,we lived in a like fake world..."). Tense consistency is poorly managed, shifting awkwardly between present and past references ("we lived," "everyone want," "the profession... going down"). Due to the high frequency of grammatical errors and lack of error-free sentence structures, this criterion warrants a band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.
