IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Nowadays famous people are photographed by professional photographers everywhere they go. Some people say this is a good thing because the public are interested in their lives. Other people think that photographers are wrong to follow famous people.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is a debatable issue, whether influencer should take their pictures by professional or it is not appropriate. However, some people think that taking images on public place depicts the information about famous people's life,whereas other believe that photographers should not do work for them. According to me, covering celebrities is good for professional and in upcoming paragraphs I will discuss both views with reasons.

On the one hand, being on social media is the way to influence common people, in this way when they see to any known person's picture then they get encourage and want to follow same activity. For example, last year in Mumbai one of the bollywood actor 'Sonu Sood' did his great job by cleaning the beach, this video got viral among fans. Consequently, they all started to contribute in this activity. Moreover, as the public is increasingly intrested in celebrities'lives, there is considerable demand for their photos. Along with this, this is a way to promote their films and aware the people about current issues.

On the orher hand, following the notable personality means invading in their personal life. It is everyone's right to keep their life pa ersonal and respect their privacy. But, photographers always run behind them to earm more TRP which interapt their personal space. For instance, when a well-known individual visit to any public place with family members then they get follow by some media, thus their whole vaccation get spoil. That is why, some people think that it is unappropriate to always figure out their location.

In my opinion, providing information about famous people to their fans by photographers, help to saty up to date. To expalin it, when any celebrity use any newly lauched gadget or follow new fashion trend then it get spread by social media to thier ordinary people, hence they start to imitate same things in order to make their life better and feel happy.

These minor organizational flaws place the coherence and cohesion at a solid Band 6.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'invading in their personal life', 'imitate', and 'considerable demand'. However, there are numerous noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and collocation, such as 'influencer should take their pictures' instead of 'photographers should take', 'earm' instead of 'earn', 'interapt' instead of 'interrupt', and 'unappropriate' instead of 'inappropriate'. While communication is not severely impeded, these repeated lexical inaccuracies prevent the writing from achieving a Band 7.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent throughout the text. There are frequent errors in verb forms, prepositions, and articles, such as 'when any celebrity use' (instead of 'uses'), 'visit to any public place' (instead of 'visits'), and 'thier ordinary people'. While the meaning is generally clear despite these errors, the high frequency of grammatical slips keeps the score at a Band 5.0.
