Student answer (Band 6.0)

In recent time, it is often seen that famous people prefered to get clicked by professional photographers. Some people think that it is a good thing because they are public figures and people are actually keen to know about their personal lives, whereas others believe photograpers are wrong to follow famous people. I personally believe photographers are wrong, as they are disturbing famous people every now and then and breaching their private life regularly.

To start with, it is often seen with professional photographers, they tend to follow public figures for photographs or videos to get views and likes, and why people think it is wrong? Because the photographers mostly breach the limits while clicking the photographs. In addition, many times they do not realize that public figures are also the normal human beings, they also function in the same way how normal human being does. Famous people also want to have private life or want to keep some privacy while away from the work, but photographers often do not let them. Therefore, keeping the cameras on and capturing the known people is not being supported by many people.

On the other side, there are many people who reackon that getting clicked by professional photographers is a good thing for celebrities. To describe, there are so many people who follow the famous celebrities for fashion, style and for so many things. In addition, they also like to replicate their fashion and style game in routine life. Therefore, if the famous celebrities are being captured by the professional photographers, it not only attracts normal people more efficiently, but also keep them in a trend which eventually helps to stay at the top in their professions.

To conclude, yes being captured by the professional photographs is the good way to stay engage with normal people in this busy world. However, I personally feel photographers or media people should not cross the line and should not breach their personal and private life for likes and views just because they are public figures.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on paparazzi and celebrity photography and clearly stating a personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. The ideas are relevant, such as discussing the intrusion on privacy versus the benefits of maintaining a public profile and trends. However, the development of ideas in the body paragraphs is somewhat repetitive, relying on general statements like 'for so many things' rather than deep elaboration or specific examples. This places the response solidly in Band 6, as it addresses all parts of the prompt though some points remain slightly under-developed or broad.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay is generally coherent with a clear overall arrangement and identifiable paragraphs representing the introduction, two body paragraphs, and the conclusion. Logical progression is established through transitional markers such as 'To start with', 'On the other side', and 'To conclude'. However, cohesion can feel a bit mechanical, and referencing is sometimes imprecise, as seen in the phrase 'captured by the professional photographs' instead of 'photographers'. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but overall transitions and flow require smoother integration to reach higher bands. This performance aligns with the Band 6 descriptor for Coherence and Cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting less common items such as 'breaching their private life', 'public figures', and 'replicate their fashion'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation errors, such as 'prefered to get clicked' instead of 'photographed', 'reackon' instead of 'reckon', and 'known people' instead of 'celebrities' or 'public figures'. Spelling and phrasing errors occur, but they do not impede overall communication. These features are characteristic of Band 6 Lexical Resource.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, with attempts at subordination and relative clauses. There are frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasings, such as 'In recent time, it is often seen that...', 'how normal human being does', and 'being captured by the professional photographs is the good way'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, and errors rarely impede overall communication, but the high frequency of minor structural and grammatical inaccuracies prevents the essay from achieving a Band 7.
