Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is argued by some people that photographers should take celebrities' pictures because public are interested in famous people's lives; whereas, others think that photographers should avoid following them. I will discuss both views and present my own opinion in the upcoming paragraphs.
There are numerous reasons behind the thought of the people regarding celebs' photographs taken by cameramans. One of the reasons is that it increases the fan following of the person who captured the pictures of these popular individuals. Fans are always excited to watch the latest images and videos of their influencers on social media, and posting their photos is benefical for both, celebrities and photographers. For example, when an individual clicks a photo of an influencer and post it on their own social media account, such as Instagram, it will lead to the significant rise of followers on their Instagram page. As a result, photographers' career may get flourish.
However, in my opinion, if photographers poke their nose all the time in the life of famous people, it may disturb their privacy. Despite the fact that being visible all the time is crucial for the celebrities, as a human being, they also need some isolation from the cameras. These photographers can ruin their private moments of their life. For example, if any popular actor do not want to confront the public, maybe suffering from health issues that have changed their appearence, in these situations, a single viral click can put their career on the edge. Therefore, for the safety of their future opportunities, photographers should evade taking images.
In conclusion, taking photos everytime is advantageous for not only popular persons, but also for the cameramans, while in my perspective, photographers should respect their privacy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—that photographing celebrities is positive due to public interest and that it is an invasion of privacy—while also presenting a clear personal opinion. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For example, the argument regarding the mutual benefits for photographers and influencers on social media is reasonably well supported, whereas the discussion on celebrities facing health issues and career damage is somewhat under-developed and speculative. The overall position is maintained throughout the essay, satisfying the core requirements of this level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear, logical progression of ideas from the introduction through the body paragraphs to the conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, with each body paragraph focusing on a distinct view. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'One of the reasons', 'However', and 'In conclusion', though referencing and transitions can occasionally feel a bit mechanical or formulaic. The response fully satisfies the requirements of the lower band and demonstrates some elements of the next, showing clear logical organisation throughout.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
An adequate range of vocabulary is deployed for the task, allowing the writer to communicate their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common items and phrasing, such as 'fan following', 'beneficial', and 'private moments', though some word choices and collocations are slightly unnatural, such as 'cameramans' instead of 'cameramen' or 'photographers', and 'get flourish' instead of 'flourish'. Spelling is generally accurate, and occasional lexical inaccuracies do not impede communication, placing the response squarely at this level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The writing exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating control over various structures such as conditional and concessive clauses in sentences like 'Despite the fact that being visible all the time is crucial for the celebrities...'. There are some errors in grammar and punctuation, including article misuse ('the public are', 'the cameramans'), subject-verb agreement issues ('actor do not want'), and prepositions inside grammatical patterns ('poke their nose all the time in the life'). However, these errors are relatively infrequent and rarely impede communication.
