Student answer (Band 5.5)
Recently, well-known individuals are photographed by licensed photographers everywhere they go. Some argue that it is a good thing because public are interested in their lives while others say it a wrong to follow famous person. In this essay, both views will be explained and know the reason of each side. However, in my own perspective, I partially agree that this could be a good thing following a famous person.
On the one hand, people acknowledge it as a good thing for professional photographers to take picture or make a film for a famous people like an actress or actor. Supporters of an artist see it a good thing because they are curious and want to follow their lives. People wants to follow every detail happening on their lives whether it could be negative or positive. Additionally, professional photographers will gain more views and followers because of their work and for keeping updated on their post.
On the other hand, there is a detrimental impact on this view because actress or actor will be lack of privacy in their lives. Moreover, they tends hide for sometime for them to have some privacy specially on their personal life. Photographers may forget that actress and actors are also human that they have their own lives to protect and not all should be captured and publish. Photographers should know their work limitations in order to maintain respect to people they are capturing photos.
To conclude this, although famous people are public figures, professional photographers should still maintain their limits of following them because they have also personal life and still needs privacy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task, discussing both the benefits of photographing famous people and the negative impacts of intruding on their privacy, while also providing a personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed. For instance, the argument about professional photographers gaining views and followers is superficial, and the reasoning surrounding the public's curiosity is repetitive. The student's position is presented, but the development lacks depth and extension, preventing the response from reaching a higher level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, demonstrating a logical division of ideas. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, separating the positive view from the negative view. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. Words like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' are used, but referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'a detrimental impact on this view', which misuses the word 'view'. Progression is present, but overall flow is hindered by awkward transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to communicate basic ideas about fame and privacy. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'detrimental impact' and 'professional photographers', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as writing 'public are interested' instead of 'the public is interested', or stating that famous people 'tends hide for sometime'. Spelling and word-form errors occur, such as 'specially' instead of 'especially' and 'publish' instead of 'published', which occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting complex structures such as conditional and subordinate clauses. However, there is a limited range of structures successfully controlled, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. Frequent errors in grammar are present, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'actress or actor will be lack of privacy' and 'they tends hide', as well as missing articles ('is a wrong to follow') and preposition errors. These frequent errors can cause difficulty and strain for the reader.
