Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, celebrities are frequently photographed by professional photographers while some people believe that this is beneficial as people follow them and they are interesyed in their lives, Others argue that constantly following celebirities is an invasion of privacy. In my opinion, although public interest in celebrities are understandbale, photographers should respect their personal lives and avoid excessive intrusion.
One of the main reason why people support photographing famous individuals as people admire their living style, activities and their carrier so photograhpers can provide information through public events, such as filrm award ceremonies and charity activities. For example, picture of a well-known actor doing charity can encourge foloowers to support more. In addition, professional photograhpers and entertainment media provide a source of news and entertainment for many people.
On the other hand, famous people also deserve their privacy while they are not working but constantly being followed by photograhpes can make their simple activities such as going to park , eating at resturant exteremly uncomfortable. Moreover, photographers sometime take pictures of celebrities families and children and post it without permission .
In my view, there should be a reasonable balance between public interest and individual privacy. photograhpers should be free to photograph celebirites at public events or when they are performing their professional duties. However, they should respect boundries when famous people are enjoying private time with their families or friends.
In conculsion, although photograhpers of celebrities can satisfy public curiosity and provide entertainment excessive photography can interfere with their private lives. Therefore, public interest should be balanced with celebirties right to privacy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The response successfully addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on photographing celebrities and presenting a clear position throughout. The introduction outlines the two opposing perspectives, and the body paragraphs explore both sides: the positive aspects of public interest and media coverage, such as supporting charity and providing entertainment, and the negative aspects, such as the invasion of privacy. Ideas are generally extended and supported, though there is a slight tendency to over-generalise in parts, such as the discussion on family members. The conclusion effectively reinforces the writer's stance. To reach a higher band, the ideas would need more fully developed, detailed supporting evidence and deeper exploration of the socio-cultural implications of fame and privacy.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay demonstrates a clear logical organisation and progression throughout. Each paragraph has a distinct central topic, moving smoothly from the introduction to the arguments in favour, the counter-arguments, the writer's opinion, and a logical conclusion. Cohesive devices are used reasonably well to guide the reader through the text, such as 'On the other hand', 'In addition', and 'In my view'. However, referencing and transitions are at times slightly mechanical. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, separating the distinct ideas clearly. To achieve a higher band, cohesion would need to be even more seamless, and referencing could be managed with greater subtlety to avoid any formulaic transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'invasion of privacy', 'charity activities', and 'professional duties'. However, there are notable limitations and persistent spelling errors throughout the text, including 'interesyed', 'celebirities', 'understandbale', 'photograhpers', 'carrier', 'filrm', 'encourge', 'foloowers', 'resturant', 'exteremly', 'boundries', and 'conculsion'. While these errors do not severely impede communication, they reflect an inconsistent control of word forms and spelling that prevents the writing from attaining a higher level of lexical precision and fluency.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an ability to construct compound and complex clauses using subordinating conjunctions like 'although' and 'while'. There are some errors in grammar and punctuation, such as subject-verb agreement issues in 'public interest in celebrities are understandbale' and minor missing articles or prepositions in phrases like 'doing charity'. Punctuation is generally functional, though commas are occasionally misused or omitted around introductory elements. These errors rarely impede communication and represent a solid control over basic structures alongside attempted complexity, though frequent error-free sentences characteristic of higher bands are not consistently sustained.
