Student answer (Band 6.0)

In morder era of technology, privacy has become a myth for celebrities. Paparazis will go above and beyond to capture and put them on their respective social media pages as half of the majorty became so intersted in their personal lives. Other half will understand the significance of private life and thinks this is incorrect way of celebrating them. In this eassay, I will discuss both the ideologies and will give my opinion in the end.

In this generations, famous personalities are not being treated as a human, rather than they are being treated as a object. Some of people strongle believe that people who work in-front of cameras should share everything and treat world as their family. They think that hey feel more connected to them to see and follow each and every personal and professional event of their life. Their belief is comes with strong admiration for them. For an example, one person who is into fitness will defenetiely want to see that his inspiration, his faviourate actor goes into which gym and do what type of training.

In contradiction, other half of people are kind enough to treat them as human. They do have emapathy for them and feel that they should not treat like this. They believe that one should respect their privacy and give them space with their family and loved ones. They understand the pressure and cost of being in-front of cameras all day. In their views, they are not able to go out and enjoy their selfs fully because of the fear of being photographed and judged by people. For an example, one needs to think thousand time as a famous fashion icon before going out in jeans without make-up as there will be enough cameras to capture her normal face and make it new spicy news for the day.

In conclusion, famous people do choose the life of lights and glamour since it is ther profession but I strongly agree that celebrities are also normal people who sometimes need a break from cameras, continuous flashes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response addresses both views and gives a clear personal position: the first body paragraph explains why audiences want access to celebrities’ lives, while the second argues that public figures deserve privacy. The examples about a fitness fan following an actor’s training and a fashion icon being photographed without makeup make the discussion relevant. Your conclusion also reinforces your view that celebrities need breaks from cameras. This meets the task well, though the development is uneven: the first view is mainly explained through admiration and connection, while the reasons for photographers’ conduct and the limits of public interest are not explored in much depth. To strengthen the response further, explain these ideas more fully and make the distinction between public interest and intrusive pursuit clearer.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that states your opinion. This makes the progression easy to follow, and signposts such as “In contradiction” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages of the argument. However, some linking is mechanical or imprecise, and references such as “Other half” are not fully clear without rereading the opening. The first body paragraph also moves quickly from the public’s interest to an example without developing the connection between them. Use more natural transitions and make each paragraph’s central point explicit, then link the example directly to that point. This would make the organisation more fluent and the relationships between ideas clearer.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-relevant vocabulary, including “privacy,” “admiration,” “empathy,” “pressure,” and “judged,” and phrases such as “personal and professional” show an effort to express distinctions. However, inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “Paparazis,” “intersted,” “faviourate,” and “spicy news” are examples. Several expressions are also unnatural, including “privacy has become a myth” and “celebrating them” for describing public attention. The range is sufficient to communicate the main ideas, but control of collocation and spelling is not consistent. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases, such as “intrude on someone’s privacy” and “public fascination,” and proofread carefully for spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response includes both simple and more extended sentence forms, for example the sentence beginning “They believe that one should respect their privacy” and the longer explanation of how a celebrity may be photographed and judged. The main meaning is generally understandable, but errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction recur. Examples include “In this generations,” “as a object,” “Some of people,” and “Their belief is comes.” The opening also has a sentence fragment-like construction in “Other half will understand … and thinks,” where the subject and verb do not agree. These errors sometimes make the reader work to interpret the sentence. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and article use, and revise complex sentences into clear clauses before adding further detail.
