Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is often seen that renowed people are followed by professional photographers everywhere they visit. Some individuals support this beacuse they believe that people have interest in their lives. While others, including me, argue that following them everytime is inappropriate as it can negatively impact their lives.

One the one hand, famous personalities often have a large fanbase and their followers are always interesed in their lives. Therefore, it is necessary for media to follow them everywhere they go. Since the public demand for their photographs and locations. For example, by following a social media stars, a professional photographer can simultaneously earn money and keep updated their fans. It is thus understanable why many favour this view.

On the other hand, following famous people everytime can create harm to their security. By capturing their live photographs, thiefs can collect information about their belongings and try to steal them. This regular following can also impact their family time since many people do not feel comfortable sharing their personal moments on social media and TV. For instance, by capturing personal moments on movie stars, photographers can make their personal life public, which can lead to issues like breakups and negative imact on thier public image. That is why, professional photographers should avoid following celebrities everywhere.

In conclusion, although photographers are entertanin people by taking pictures of famous people, I strongly believe that following them everytime can ruin their personal and public life. Instead of taking photographs everywhere, they should only take pictures in events.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response discusses both perspectives and gives a clear personal position: you acknowledge public interest, then argue that constant pursuit can harm celebrities and conclude that photography should be limited to events. The security, family privacy and public-image points are relevant, and the examples help illustrate them. This meets the task well overall, but the two sides are not developed equally: the case for public interest is brief and relies mainly on fans wanting photographs and updates. Some claims on the opposing side, such as photographers causing breakups, would benefit from clearer explanation or a more specific example. To strengthen the response, explain why public interest might justify coverage while distinguishing legitimate reporting from intrusive pursuit, and support the main claims more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for each view, and a conclusion that restates your opinion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” makes the progression easy to follow. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “Since the public demand for their photographs and locations” is a sentence fragment, and the example that follows does not connect smoothly to the claim that following celebrities is necessary. The repeated use of “everywhere” and “following” also makes the links feel repetitive. Improve cohesion by joining related ideas into complete sentences, using clearer references, and varying transitions so the argument develops rather than simply moving from one point to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “fanbase,” “security,” “personal moments,” and “public image,” and the meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “negatively impact their lives.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable, including “renowed,” “thiefs,” “entertanin,” and “imact.” Some collocations are unnatural, for example “capturing their live photographs” and “keep updated their fans.” These issues limit precision and sometimes make the reader pause, even though the main ideas remain clear. Build accuracy by checking spelling carefully and learning common word partnerships, such as “take candid photographs,” “keep fans informed,” and “pose a security risk.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response includes both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause in “although photographers are entertaining people…” and a reason clause beginning “since.” The paragraphing also gives you opportunities to express relationships between ideas. However, some grammatical errors remain, and a few sentences are incomplete or awkwardly constructed. “Since the public demand for their photographs and locations” is a fragment; “One the one hand” is missing a word; and “by following a social media stars” has an article and plural mismatch. There are also problems with sentence patterns in “keep updated their fans” and “capturing personal moments on movie stars.” Aim to make each sentence complete, check articles and agreement, and practise accurate verb patterns after prepositions such as “by.”
