Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this modern era, many famous personalities are photographed by experts photographers everywhere they go. On the one hand, a few people believe that this is a good thing as the public are interested in their lives, on the other hand, some people think that photographers are wrong to follow famous people. This essay will discuss both of these scenarios and will state why I support the latter statement.

The supporters of first phenomenon consider that the every activity of famous personalities should be made available to public because they supports them building a superior image in the society. The fans of popular stars got inspiration to achieve their dreams so if the photographers stalks them and takes pictures its is not a bad thing. Mainly because many fans are ready to get every piece of information about their role models, so they support those who follow them and take pictures.

On the opposite side, some believe that taking photographs actually means disturbing their mental state and personal space. Afterall, they are also human beings who love to enjoy their life on their own way and if they spend time going somewhere other place, they should not be captured and uploaded on social media platforms as it can create mental stress of being stalked and they will afraid of going outside affecting enjoying their personal time.

Taking everything into consideration, I strongly believe that famous personalities should not be followed every time as they have a right to live their lifestlye in their own way and taking pictures by professional photographers should be restricted or allowed only after getting permission from them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and make your own position clear: the introduction says you support the view that photographers should not follow celebrities, and the conclusion proposes restricting photography or requiring permission. The opposing view is also relevantly explained through fans’ interest and the inspiration they gain from public figures. However, this side is less fully developed: the claim that photographs build celebrities’ “superior image” is unclear, and the paragraph mainly repeats that fans want information rather than explaining why public interest justifies intrusive coverage. Your argument against following celebrities is more developed, with privacy and mental stress as reasons. A specific example would make the discussion more convincing and balanced.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion that restates your position. The progression from public interest to privacy concerns is easy to follow, and phrases such as “On the one hand” and “Taking everything into consideration” help signal the structure. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some features of stronger organisation. To improve further, make links between claims more precise and avoid relying on formulaic transitions. For example, “On the opposite side” is less natural than a direct contrast such as “By contrast.” The first body paragraph also moves from fans’ inspiration to photographers’ actions without clearly explaining the connection.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “personal space,” “mental stress,” “role models,” and “professional photographers,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at less common phrasing, such as “disturbing their mental state.” However, noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision: “experts photographers,” “the first phenomenon,” “got inspiration,” and “lifestlye” are not accurate or natural in context. Some expressions are also repetitive, particularly references to famous personalities and taking pictures. Aim for more natural collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully; this would make your vocabulary more effective without needing unnecessarily complex wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if they spend time going somewhere…” and a relative clause in “those who follow them.” Meaning is usually recoverable, but errors occur across the response and sometimes make sentences difficult to process. Examples include “they supports them,” “the every activity,” and “they will afraid,” which show problems with agreement, articles, and verb forms. Several sentences also run together, especially the opening sentence of the first body paragraph, where a full stop or clearer clause structure is needed. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and complete verb phrases, and divide long sentences into clearer units while retaining some accurate complex structures.
