Student answer (Band 6.0)

Taking Photographs of the influencial people has become common activity for the photographers. Some individuals find that it is a good way to know the life of famous people, while others contend that it effects their life. I will discuss both views in the upcoming paragraphs and will present my opinion.

On the one side, professional photographers provide information about famous celebrities through the pictures. As common people are interested in the daily routine of celebrities, most importantly in their upcoming projects. In result, people support their favourite ones with love and support which is beneficial for career development of celebrities. Additionally, it is significant for the celebrities who are new to some industry. For example, a new actor going to some cultural event, may be not well known to public. But when photographers start taking his pictures that will make it a public figure. So, it is helpful get recognitionfor new people in the film industry.

On the other side, some people think by capturing all the time hinder privacy of famous people. Sometimes well-known people do not want to show all the things that they perform. They believe somethings should be private to avoid scandals and criticism in the future. Moreover, many celebrities feel uncomfortable when they are captured while doing excersise such as gym or joga. They are sometimes trolled because of their body weight and outfits resulting in less working projects in future.

In my perspective, It is a great way that photographers take pictures of celebrities to inspire people. As getting captured by photographers is a significant part of the life of famous people which not only make them more renowned celebrity but also inspire numerous of people to work hard and achieve their goals.

In conclusion, although people gets to know about life of their favourite celebrities throgh photographers, but I think photographers should understand when ands where to capture the famous people without affecting celebrities privacy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both views and give a clear personal position: you see publicity as beneficial, while acknowledging that constant photography can invade privacy. The examples about a new actor gaining recognition and celebrities being criticised for their appearance are relevant and help explain your points. This meets the task well, but the two sides are not developed equally: the benefits are linked to career development, whereas the privacy argument would be stronger with a clearer explanation of the harm caused by intrusive photography. Your conclusion also introduces a more balanced qualification—that photographers should know when and where to take pictures—which could be reconciled more explicitly with your earlier support for photographing celebrities. Further explanation and a consistently nuanced position would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one side,” “On the other side,” and “In conclusion” makes the progression easy to follow. However, some linking is mechanical, and a few connections between ideas are unclear. For example, “As common people are interested…” is a sentence fragment rather than a complete explanation, while “In result” does not connect the preceding point naturally. The final paragraph also partly repeats the opinion paragraph instead of drawing the discussion together. Use a wider range of natural transitions and make the relationship between each claim and its supporting explanation explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “privacy,” “recognition,” “criticism,” and “career development,” and you attempt some less common expressions. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “influencial people,” “it effects their life,” “make it a public figure,” and “trolled because of their body weight and outfits.” Several spellings are also incorrect, such as “excersise,” “joga,” and “throgh.” Aim for precise, natural combinations—for instance, say that photographers “invade celebrities’ privacy” or “raise their public profile.” Proofreading spelling and checking whether a phrase is idiomatic would improve clarity and control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “while,” “when,” and “although,” and your main ideas remain understandable. However, errors in sentence construction and grammatical control occur across the response. “As common people are interested in the daily routine of celebrities” is incomplete, and “So, it is helpful get recognition” is missing a grammatical link. There are also problems with agreement and sentence structure in “people gets to know” and “which not only make them.” Punctuation and spacing around commas are inconsistent, and the final sentence contains a faulty construction (“when ands where”). Practise building complete clauses and checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation, while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
