Student answer (Band 5.5)

Celebrities and their lifestyles are one of the most interesting topic for many people. Photographers who capture them called "Paparazzi's". A majority of section believe that it is a positive thing because some individuals are very found for their lives and on the other hand some say it is not good to follow famous people everywhere. Both the viewpoints are different as per their believes and we will discuss both these in the following paragraphs along with the opinion.

On the one hand, in terms of entertainment it is a vast and interesting topic for society who like to listen about their famous personalities and their lifestyles which makes them more common among local people. Furthermore, it impacts on a special section of society where they cannot enjoy their lives with normal section like mental ill patients and entertainment and stories about their famous celebrities gives them joy.

Moreover, employment is also increased with this industry because more individuals are working with media and publicity sectors which directly sure the employment opportunities. For Instance, some of the daily podcast channels are working with thousands of crew members and covers all the happenings related to famous people.

On the other hand, the biggest concern for those personalities is their privacy and it is a big issue. professional photographers follow them everywhere they go which makes their personal lives more social and it is not a good sign for any human being. For Example, in a well renowned newspaper it was recently published that an actor from Thor movie was seen on holidays in the Mexico City with their family which makes his personal time social.

In conclusion, it is undeniable that there is a drawback as a personal life become social for famous people by paparazzi's but, it is also a good sign for society as a whole by generating more employment opportunities and also by providing an interesting subject matter for a special section of society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both perspectives and give a clear overall preference for allowing celebrity photography, supported by points about public interest and employment. The privacy paragraph also directly addresses the opposing view, and the example of an actor being photographed on holiday makes the concern concrete. However, the response only partially develops the task: the benefits are asserted more than explained, and the employment point is not clearly linked to photographers following celebrities. The reference to people with mental illness is also unclear and risks distracting from the main argument. To strengthen the response, explain how public interest justifies this coverage, acknowledge limits such as harassment or consent, and make your position more explicit and consistent throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a paragraph on privacy, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “Moreover,” and “On the other hand” helps readers follow the two views, and the conclusion returns to the main contrast. This meets the lower-band expectation of clear overall organisation and shows some flexibility in linking ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is occasionally weak: the point about mental illness appears abruptly, while the podcast example does not clearly follow from the claim about employment. Some linking phrases, including “Both the viewpoints are different,” add little. Use clearer topic sentences and explain the relationship between each claim and its example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “privacy,” “employment opportunities,” “publicity sectors,” and “personal lives.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “subject matter” and “well renowned.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which makes some sentences difficult to interpret. Examples include “very found for their lives,” “a majority of section,” “directly sure the employment opportunities,” and “makes their personal lives more social.” “Paparazzi’s” is also an incorrect form in this context. Aim for precise, natural combinations and check word forms and spelling; simpler accurate phrasing will be more effective than ambitious but unclear expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “which,” and “where,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited in practice because many longer sentences contain frequent errors that can make the reader pause. For example, “Photographers who capture them called” is missing a verb form, while “Celebrities and their lifestyles is” would require plural agreement. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “professional photographers” after a full stop and the long opening sentence joined by several clauses. Practise building accurate sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation when editing.
