Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the Modern Era, Famous People are photographed by paparazzi or other professional photographers wherever they go. Some folks believe that this is a good approach, as the public is interested in their lives, while others think that this is totally wrong. I support the latter statement, and I will explain both views and my opinion in the upcoming paragraph with suitable example.

To start with, there are some people who believe that taking pictures of celebrities or any other famous individual by paparazzi or other photographers are ok because the audience would love to know what's going on in their personal lives. For example: If a Celebrity like Kelly Jenner is going to France and spending her quality time in a hotel or any other famous attraction over there, people will love to see pictures of her staying there.

On the other hand, some individuals think that this is wrong. Even if they are famous faces, everyone has the right to keep their personal life private outside of their professional work. Moreover, Constant stalking by paparazzi creates immense pressure and anxiety and sometimes it leads to dangerous situations. Moreover, their personal moments will be ruined. For Example: If a couple that is not officially married yet goes on a trip and paparazzi follow them and make their private pictures goes viral on the internet, it would lead to exploiting their personal breach.

Lastly, to conclude everything, I personally believe that Famous individuals are also human beings, and they have the right to enjoy their personal life without the involvement of the public. Also, the government should ban the media from taking pictures without their consent.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and state your position clearly: you support the view that photographers should not follow famous people. The discussion of public interest is relevant, and the example of a celebrity travelling in France illustrates why audiences may want such photographs. Your privacy argument is also supported by the points about pressure, anxiety, and potentially dangerous situations. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the first mainly explains curiosity, while the second would benefit from a fuller explanation of the consequences and limits of press intrusion. The final suggestion that the government should ban photographs without consent is strong but broad; clarify what exceptions, if any, should apply. More precise development would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure, moving from an introduction to the two opposing views and then to your conclusion. Paragraphing helps the reader follow the discussion, and signposts such as “On the other hand” make the change of viewpoint clear. This meets the lower-band expectations securely, with some features of stronger progression. However, linking is occasionally mechanical: “Moreover” is repeated, and “Lastly, to conclude everything” combines two signals that perform the same function. The opening also promises an explanation “in the upcoming paragraph,” although the discussion follows across several paragraphs. Use a wider range of natural transitions and clearer references between ideas, so the connections feel less formulaic and the progression is smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “personal life,” “immense pressure and anxiety,” “stalking,” and “consent.” These choices help communicate your position and show attempts to use more specific language than basic terms alone. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or informal, however. “Kelly Jenner” appears to refer to “Kylie Jenner,” and “exploiting their personal breach” does not express the intended idea clearly; “an invasion of their privacy” would be more natural. “Quality time” is also an awkward fit for describing a celebrity’s stay. Capitalisation of common nouns such as “Celebrity” and “Famous” is inconsistent. Aim for precise, natural collocations and a consistently appropriate formal register.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “If a couple…” and a sentence explaining that stalking “creates immense pressure and anxiety.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in longer constructions. For example, “taking pictures … are ok” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “make their private pictures goes viral” uses an incorrect verb form after “make.” In “a couple … goes on a trip,” the later reference to “their” also makes the sentence structure harder to follow. Punctuation around examples is inconsistent, particularly the use of a colon after “For example.” Check agreement, verb patterns, and sentence boundaries carefully, while continuing to practise complex structures.
