Student answer (Band 6.0)

Famous people get photographed by professional photographers wherever they go. Some people believe it has positive outcome. Other people argue this an invasion of privacy in specific circumstances . In my opinion, they should only get photographed when they are working professionally and their private life should not be interrupted.

Some social figures do benefit by the charm of getting photographed wherever they go. Photographers post their pictures on social media platfroms to gain and make ample amount of money. Moreover, people are very curious about the extraordinary lifestyles of actoresses, musicians and other famous figues. Social media publicity helps celebrities to gain follwers, NGOS to raise charities and politicians to gain votes. To exemplify, people in showbiz can go to public places for the promotion of their upcoming movies.

On the other hand, celebrities are also humans and have families. They also need privacy to spend time openly without the fear and pressure of being seen and captured everywhere they go. People often go over the moon whenever they see a famous person living a normal day in their life. Fans should be aware of their social and personal boundaries while coming across with famous personalities. A reported incident where a Pakistani couple took divorce became a news headline. This disturbed the couples mental peace greatly that they had to plead infront of people to stay away from their private matter

In conclusion, photographing celebrities while they are out of their work should be banned. People should be made aware that they can only take pictures of famous figures with their consent only or while they are on a professional round.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and make your position clear: you support photography for professional purposes but oppose intrusion into celebrities’ private lives. The first body paragraph explains public interest and promotional benefits, while the second gives a relevant privacy argument and an example involving a Pakistani couple. This meets the task, but the two sides are not developed equally clearly. For instance, the claim that publicity helps NGOs raise money and politicians gain votes is introduced without explaining how it relates to photographers following famous people. The example about the couple also needs clearer context and a more explicit link to the issue. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or example, and make the distinction between public and private settings precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your opinion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument, and the ideas generally progress within each paragraph. This is a coherent arrangement, with some features of stronger progression, but connections are occasionally abrupt or unclear. The move from celebrity publicity to NGOs and politicians, for example, is not fully explained, and the couple’s story appears without enough setup. Some references, such as “This” in “This disturbed the couples mental peace,” require readers to infer exactly what caused the disturbance. Add linking explanations and make references explicit to improve flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “invasion of privacy,” “extraordinary lifestyles,” “personal boundaries,” and “promotion.” These phrases help communicate the central contrast between publicity and privacy. You also attempt less common expressions, but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “positive outcome,” “ample amount of money,” and “professional round.” Spelling errors—including “platfroms,” “actoresses,” “figues,” and “follwers”—also reduce precision. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “a positive outcome,” “earn substantial sums,” and “professional event” where appropriate. More precise vocabulary would make your arguments sound clearer and more controlled.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “whenever they go” and a conditional structure in “while coming across with famous personalities.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. Examples include “Other people argue this an invasion,” which needs “argue that this is an invasion,” and “a Pakistani couple took divorce,” where the verb pattern is incorrect. There are also issues with articles, possessives, and punctuation, as in “the couples mental peace” and the extra space before the full stop after “circumstances.” Work on complete clause structures, possessive forms, and sentence-level proofreading. Greater accuracy across these patterns would strengthen the range you already attempt.
