Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays trend of photography is increasing and photographers try to capture every moment of the important personalities through photographs everywhere. It is good in some people viewpoint as the fans want to know about their lives. Neverthless other think that it is not a good practice to follow them just for the purpose of photography. This essay will delineates both prospectives with reason before explaining my point of view.

On the one hand, some famous people also want to be photographed because they want to show what they are doing. Moreover, if their fans will come to know about their acts, it will be helpful in increasing their fame. This will have positive impact on their career development. Some actors and politicians hire professional photographers for their personal shoots. Some magazines and TV shows photographed them for their ratings and reputation. Hence, it is good for their development.

On the other hand, If photographers follow and capture them everwhere, It effects their personal lives. They have no opportunity to spend some quality time with their families. Sometimes very personal moments shared through photographs ruin their career and defame them.

Overall, it is good to be photographed by professional photographers to bocome famous among public. In my opinion, it must be in limits. So, someone's private life and mental peace must not be destroyed. Professional people must keep this fact in their mind while performing their duties. It is good for their jobs but other lives and career is also important.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and give a clear, qualified opinion: photographers can help public figures gain attention, but their work should have limits to protect privacy and mental peace. The examples of actors and politicians hiring photographers and of private images damaging careers are relevant. However, the two sides are not developed equally. The first paragraph focuses mainly on publicity and career benefits, while the opposing view would be stronger with a specific explanation of how intrusive photography affects individuals or their families. Some claims, such as that being photographed is “good for their development,” remain broad. Explain the conditions behind your position—for example, the difference between agreed publicity and being followed without consent—to make your reasoning more fully supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “Overall” make the progression easy to follow, and the ideas within each paragraph are generally grouped appropriately. This already gives the essay a coherent line of development. To make the organisation more flexible and precise, avoid relying so heavily on formulaic transitions and strengthen links between claims and explanations. For instance, after saying that private photographs can “ruin their career,” explain how this follows from the loss of privacy. The conclusion also repeats the central point; it could instead synthesise the two views more directly.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “professional photographers,” “personal lives,” “quality time,” “career development,” and “mental peace.” These choices make the main ideas clear, and attempts such as “defame” show willingness to use less common vocabulary. However, several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “important personalities,” “in some people viewpoint,” and “for their ratings and reputation.” There are also spelling errors such as “Neverthless,” “everwhere,” and “bocome.” These do not prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Build a bank of common collocations for privacy, publicity, and media attention, and proofread spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if their fans will come to know” and a contrastive opening with “Although” implied by the opposing-view structure. Most sentences remain understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “This essay will delineates” has an incorrect verb form, and “Some magazines and TV shows photographed them” uses a tense that does not fit the general claim. There are also errors in articles, agreement, and punctuation, as in “in some people viewpoint” and the capitalisation after “On the other hand.” Practise accurate verb patterns after modal verbs and future forms, and check sentence boundaries and capital letters. More consistently controlled complex sentences would improve the range.
