Student answer (Band 6.5)
In our modern era, paparazzi are constantly taking pictures of celebrities wherever they go. Due to the interest and entertainment of the fans, people argue that it is a good thing, Nevertheless, Others have a completely different opinion. In the subsequent paragraphs I will discuss both point of view and prove that it is detrimental for celebrities private life.
On the one hand, I can partly understand that photographers are fullfilling the fans desire of discovering how their loved celebrity lives becuause, firstly, well-known people are often famous by choice, thus, they should care about their fans' interests and try to keep them happy and also they have to be ready for the inconvenience that may happen in their life dur to followers' affection. For instance, the most loved Korean pop band BTS dedicates a significant amount of time for their fans that are sometimes crazy about them.
On the other hand, picturing a person's private life, especially without consent is one of the most deleterious consequences of fame and that curbs the celebrity's privacy resulting in many terrible mental issues and problems in their personal life. In other words, just like a normal person, as he/she has a family and a private life a well known person should have a work/life balance to ensure a good balance in the family and to relax in his/her private space, otherwise, serious personal and family problems such as divorce or depression will appear; for instance, Bradd pit and Angelina Jolie ended up divorced as well as several other celebrities dur to papparazzi and abscence of private life. As a result, recording celebrities life is not ethical.
In conclusion, although photo-shooting celebrities' life for the fans is fun for them, it definetely has numerous harmful impacts on their life which make it unethical.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both views and make your own position clear: you partly understand fans’ interest, but conclude that intrusive photography is unethical and harmful. The second body paragraph develops this position with relevant consequences, including loss of privacy and possible effects on mental and family life. The BTS example gives some support to the first view, although it illustrates artists engaging with fans more than photographers meeting public interest. The claim that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce resulted from paparazzi is also asserted without support, so it weakens the example. To strengthen the response, explain more precisely why public interest might justify photographing celebrities, then support the counterargument with a more reliable or carefully qualified example. The task is covered, but some ideas are less fully developed than others.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay has a clear overall progression: an introduction states your position, two body paragraphs present contrasting views, and the conclusion restates your judgement. Paragraphing is appropriate, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the structure easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “For instance” and “As a result” to connect claims and examples. At times, however, the links feel formulaic, and the first body paragraph’s long sentence combines several points without clearly separating them. The reference to “that” in “and that curbs the celebrity’s privacy” is also slightly unclear. Use shorter units to develop each point and make references explicit, while retaining the strong overall organisation.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You show an adequate range and attempt less common vocabulary, including “detrimental,” “deleterious,” “consent,” and “ethical,” which helps express the topic and your position. However, some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “fullfilling the fans desire,” “their loved celebrity,” and “photo-shooting celebrities’ life.” Spelling errors, including “becuause,” “definetely,” and “papparazzi,” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your main argument, but they limit the precision and naturalness of the language. Focus on common collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “meet fans’ desire to know about celebrities’ lives” rather than the less natural phrasing in the first body paragraph.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including clauses with “because,” “thus,” and “although,” and most of the argument remains understandable. Some grammatical errors nevertheless affect accuracy. For example, “I will discuss both point of view” needs plural agreement, while “a well known person should have a work/life balance” is embedded in a sentence whose structure becomes difficult to control. The sentence beginning “just like a normal person” also shifts between “a person,” “he/she,” and “their,” making the reference inconsistent. Punctuation around “Nevertheless” and the long sentence in the second body paragraph need attention as well. Practise breaking complex ideas into controlled clauses and check agreement, articles, pronoun reference, and sentence boundaries.
