IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The first table below shows changes in the total population of New York City from 1800 to 2000. The second and third tables show changes in the population of the five districts of the city (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island) over the same period.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

These tables shows us the information about population of New York city and five districts of city from 1800 to 2000.

First we evaluate the how many people live in all five districts by years, First we see in 1800 in this year only 79216 people live in New York and next after 100 years means in 1900 this population reached [redacted phone] and if we camper with 1800 then in 1900 almost 40X more than in last 100 years.

When we see the total population of 2000 its reached on more than 8000k.

In 1800 Manhattan have 60515 population and other 4 districts have only 18701 in this time 76% of population live in Manhattan.

After 200 years in 2000 we see the New York population by percentage in all five districts in this year almost 81% people live in Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten island and the other 19% people spend their lives in Manhattan.
