Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 3.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the ability to cover the task requirements. The summary is extremely brief and fails to report the main features of the data provided in the tables. There is no clear overview of the trends, and the information presented is fragmented and lacks the necessary detail to provide a comprehensive summary. Many key data points are omitted, and the analysis of the five districts is incomplete. To improve, you must ensure you describe the overall trends and provide specific data comparisons for all categories mentioned in the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The response is very short, making it difficult to assess paragraphing and logical progression. While there are some attempts at linking words like 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'Secondly', these are used mechanically and do not effectively connect the ideas. The lack of a clear structure and the limited content make the text feel disjointed. To improve, you should aim to group information logically—perhaps by comparing the total population trend first, followed by the specific district changes—and use a wider range of cohesive devices to link your sentences and paragraphs more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary is very limited and repetitive. There are several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'percentile' used instead of 'percentage', 'quatarly' (which is unclear), and 'minimun'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to convey the information accurately. To improve, you should focus on using precise terminology for describing data, such as 'increased significantly', 'accounted for', or 'the majority of'. Expanding your vocabulary to include more varied ways of describing trends and proportions will help you communicate your findings more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede clarity. Examples include 'The give chart illustrate' (subject-verb agreement), 'was accounted 800918' (incorrect preposition/passive voice usage), and 'in other left districts contribute maximun numbers' (sentence structure error). The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple, error-prone sentences. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that prepositions are used correctly. Practicing the use of complex sentences will also help you achieve a higher band score.
