Student answer (Band 6.0)

getting clean water is basic requirement of all human beings. however, every household should be provide with fresh water without any money exchange. i strongly agree with the statement, and the following paragraphs will justify the reasons.

First of all, it is important for all humans to have basic need for survival which includes shelter, food, fresh air and clean water, these are the vital and important components of living. but in some areas nowaday it is becoming more difficult to consume clean water due the pollution and waste dumped into the natural bodies. although, new technologies are introduced by many companies that can purify water and make it suitable to drink, however not all the people are capable of buying these expensive machine just to get excess for a basic need. for instance, a famous brand known as LG have invented an RO, which cleans the groundwater and make it clean to gulp, and in first few weeks thousands of purifier sold out at different places by high class families, on the other hand poor people could not afford that because of the sky touching prices. Hence, it is necessary for everyone to have easy approach to have clean water without paying much.

Secondly, due to the unavailability of fresh resources, a group of people are having that, getting sick and having serious problems by drinking the contaminated water. Most common heath issue because of dirty water is stomach infection followed by throat infection, also bad bacterias entres the intestine and affect the whole digestive issues and result in kidney stones because the kidneys could not take the overload to clean the water. for instance, during monsoon in the rural areas, all the hospitals get full by the high number of patients suffering from water borne disease. Therefore, free supplies of water should be provided to all the residents so that noone has to go through health hazards just because of not having access to the general thing.

to conclude, from the paragraphs discussed above, to get access purified water is everyones right which should be free of cost for human beings which can saves their money and no poor people get affect by this situation just because they do not have currency to buy and install expensive and high technology just for a basic and very common need for living and survival.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

Your position is clear from the introduction—“I strongly agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the central issue by arguing that clean water is essential for survival and that free access could protect people who cannot afford purification equipment. The examples about low-income families and illness during the monsoon help extend these points. This is a solid response to the task, although some claims are broad or not fully explained: for example, the link between contaminated water and kidney stones is asserted without support, and the discussion focuses more on household purifiers than on how a free public water supply would work. Develop the reasoning behind each example and connect it more directly to the proposal in the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Secondly,” and “to conclude” make the progression easy to follow, and each body paragraph has a recognisable main focus. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some movement towards more flexible cohesion. However, transitions can feel mechanical, and several sentences contain too many linked ideas, making relationships less clear—for example, the long sentence beginning “Most common heath issue…” moves through several health claims without clear separation. Use shorter sentences where needed, and vary linking and referencing so the connections between claims are more precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “contaminated water,” “purify,” “water borne disease,” and “health hazards.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “natural bodies” and “sky touching prices,” but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural and can make the reader pause. Examples include “fresh water” where “clean drinking water” is more precise, “easy approach” for access, and “gulp” in a formal discussion. Spelling and word-form errors such as “heath,” “bacterias,” and “entres” are noticeable. Build a more reliable range of formal collocations and check spelling and word forms; this will make your meaning clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “although,” “because,” and “so that.” This gives the response some structural variety, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to sometimes make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “every household should be provide” has an incorrect passive form, while “a group of people are having that” has an unclear structure and agreement. Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “a basic requirement” and the long sentence beginning “First of all.” Practise accurate passive constructions and subject–verb agreement, and divide sentences that combine several claims. Careful proofreading for punctuation and complete sentence structure would improve control.
