Student answer (Band 6.0)
Clean water is a basic need to human life so access to clean and safe water is obivously a basic right of humans. Water is very important for life because every person need water for drinking, cleaning, and for many other things. So, i strongly agree with this view that every human should have a water supply at their for clean water which is free of cost.
Firstly, the main reason for having basic right to access clean ans pure water is that every person needs water to drink. Individuals needs water for many thing beacause dirty water can cause health issues and medical problems which can effect their working life and can also can death. For example, if a person drink water which has a lot of bacteria in it that would cause a disease in his body which can effect his daily routine. In addition, if he is a student poor health can effect his studies that may cause problems for him in future.
Secondly, many low income families cannot afford basic faciities thats why providing free supply system can reduce their finicial burden. Everyone should have equal access to essential resources. However, people should pay for excessive water comsuption because water treatment and distribution are espensitive. This apporach can help poor families and reduce water wastage.
In conclusion, clean and safe water is a basic human survival need. every houshold system should get a free water supply system because low quality water can cause serious health problems and reduce financial burden.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that households should receive clean water free of charge. You give relevant reasons, including the health risks of contaminated water and the financial pressure on low-income families, and you add a qualification that excessive consumption should be paid for. These points address the question, but they are not developed equally. The example about bacteria and a student’s studies illustrates health effects, while the affordability argument would benefit from a specific example or explanation of how a free basic allowance could work. Clarify whether you mean all household water is free or only an essential amount, so the position and qualification are fully consistent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from health to affordability, and linking phrases such as “For example” and “In addition” help show relationships. However, some connections are mechanical, and the health paragraph moves from disease to work and then to a student’s studies without clearly explaining each link. The conclusion also repeats the main claim rather than drawing together the two reasons. Use clearer referencing and transitions between related points, and make the final paragraph briefly synthesise your argument. This would make the progression smoother and cohesion less dependent on formulaic signposting.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “clean and safe water,” “health issues,” “low income families,” “financial burden,” and “water treatment and distribution.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “excessive water consumption.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “obivously,” “finicial,” “comsuption,” and “espensitive,” and some phrases are unnatural, such as “basic need to human life” and “free of cost.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding your position, but they reduce precision and fluency. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for discussing access, affordability, and public services.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple sentences and longer structures, including a conditional example beginning “if a person drink water” and a concession introduced by “However.” The overall meaning remains understandable, but some errors in agreement, articles, sentence boundaries, and punctuation recur. For example, “every person need” should use a singular verb, and “Individuals needs” has the same agreement problem. The sentence beginning “For example” runs into “In addition” without adequate spacing or punctuation, while “every houshold system should get” has an unclear grammatical structure. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and separating complete sentences; also vary complex structures while keeping each clause controlled.
