Student answer (Band 5.5)
Water is essential for the most of the living beings. The statement states that, every home in the world should have supply of water without any charge. I do not fully agree with the statment because there are multiple factors which can influence the supply of water to all the peoples.
In fact, clean water is not neccary for humans it also for animals and plants, for example, in the places were the primary food source is agriculture there will huge demand. In addiiton, the clean water is also a huge concern because of contamination of rivers, lakes etc., by industries.
However, supplying water for free of cost is always not possible such as in places like desearts or hill stations and other remote areas were reaching with good qualtiy water is difficult, will be a burden to the goverment's budget. Likewise, since it is not a place to make profits there can be a subsidized cost.
Not to mention, the citizens's basic requirements such as good quality water, food and shelter, should be fullfilled by the respective governments, so it always advised to the goverments to include investment for providing good water to the peoples, and be aware of any future situation were water scarcity can happen.
In conclusion, water is very important for the human beings, neverthless, it is always not possible to give free water to the peoples, it should be shared by the government and the people, however, governments should also invest in fullfilling the basic needs of the peoples and be aware of future swituations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a recognisable, qualified position: “I do not fully agree,” and your conclusion maintains the idea that water costs should be shared while governments protect basic needs. You also raise relevant considerations, including the expense of supplying remote areas and the need to plan for scarcity. However, the response only partly develops the central question of whether every home should receive water free of charge. The discussion of agriculture, animals and plants, and river contamination is not clearly connected to your position, and the claim that free provision is not always possible needs a specific explanation or example. Clarify what “free” means—for example, a basic allowance at no cost with charges for higher use—and support your main reasons more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction to supporting points and a conclusion, and signposts such as “However,” “Likewise,” and “In conclusion” help show the intended direction. Nevertheless, progression between ideas is not consistently clear. The paragraph beginning “In fact” shifts from human water needs to agriculture and industrial contamination without explaining how these points support your stance. The paragraph about government responsibility also repeats the need to provide water rather than extending the argument. Some linking phrases feel mechanical, and references such as “it” in “it is not a place to make profits” are unclear. Organise each body paragraph around one reason, then explain and illustrate that reason before moving to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “contamination,” “subsidized cost,” “water scarcity,” and “remote areas,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making the meaning less precise: “for free of cost,” “huge demand,” and “reaching with good quality water” are examples. Spelling errors such as “neccary,” “desearts,” and “fullfilling” are also noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than adding more ambitious vocabulary: for instance, describe the “high cost of supplying remote communities” and distinguish between “free basic provision” and “subsidised water.” Proofreading would help make your ideas easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a contrast introduced by “However.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors occur across sentence structures, articles, agreement, and punctuation. For example, “for the most of the living beings” has an incorrect article pattern, while “there will huge demand” is missing a verb. The sentence beginning “However, supplying water…” becomes difficult to control, particularly around “will be a burden,” and the comma after “states that” is unnecessary. There are also inconsistent plural and possessive forms in “citizens’s basic requirements.” Build accuracy by checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, and practise combining clauses without leaving sentence fragments or unclear constructions.
