Student answer (Band 5.5)
"WITHOUT WATER THERE IS NO LIFE"
I totally agree because 60% of human body is made of water.71% of earth surface area is covered from water existing in form of deep oceans,Seas,Lakes. But water from these resorucres is not usefull becaus it contains high amount of salts. So to make it clean it should be filtered and properly checked because cloean water is very important in daily activites cooking, washing, eating, drinking and for industrial purposes.Recently i watched an election compaign of a contestant for Senate election in US in which he highlight the importance of free clean water throughout his speech which turn out to be a turning point for his compaign.Water born disease are common, almost 10 thousand people in India died of drinking contaminated water from a pond in 1990 thats why cleaning of water with proper methods is very important and its entirely depend on the state to provide people with clean free water.Every countriey should completely ban water selling.Ground water level is falling dangerously due to urbanization and climate change also play a important role over the period of time. The level of minerals and electrolytes should be adequately checked.
Awarness should be provided to people through print or digital media because ground water levels are falling dangerously low.People should not waste water ,Seminars and various compaigns should held to show the importance of clean water, and people should not elect someone who do not gurantee safe clean free water.
In the end i would say water is the purest form of life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening—“I totally agree”—and you give relevant reasons, including the health risks of contaminated water and the state’s responsibility to provide safe supplies. The examples of waterborne disease and falling groundwater also show awareness of related issues. However, the response does not fully develop the central claim that water for every home should be free: it moves between clean water, banning water sales, conservation, and election campaigns without explaining how free provision would work or who should fund it. Some claims, such as the election campaign anecdote, are not clearly connected to your argument. Develop fewer points with explanation and a specific example, and address the practical implications of free household supply.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is a recognisable overall structure: you state your view, present supporting points, add a paragraph about public awareness, and conclude. The ideas are generally related to water access, but progression is difficult to follow because many separate points are packed into one long opening paragraph. Connections between them are sometimes abrupt—for example, the election campaign anecdote is followed by disease statistics and then a call to ban water sales. The second paragraph repeats the concern about falling groundwater rather than clearly advancing the argument. Use distinct paragraphs for your main reasons, and make each paragraph develop one central idea. Clearer linking and reference between sentences would make the argument easier to track.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “contaminated water,” “ground water level,” “urbanization,” “climate change,” and “minerals and electrolytes.” These terms help communicate the subject and show attempts to use more specific language. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, such as “resorucres,” “usefull,” “Awarness,” and “compaign,” and some phrases are unnatural or imprecise, including “water from these resources” and “purest form of life.” Repetition of “clean free water” and “importance” also limits flexibility. Check spelling carefully and choose more precise collocations, such as “safe drinking-water supply” or “publicly funded provision,” to express your argument more accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, such as the sentence beginning “Ground water level is falling dangerously due to urbanization.” This gives some variety, and your main position is usually understandable. However, several sentences combine many clauses without reliable punctuation, particularly the opening paragraph, making relationships between ideas unclear. There are also errors in agreement, articles, and verb forms: “Water born disease are common,” “climate change also play,” and “campaigns should held” need grammatical correction. Sentence boundaries and commas are also inconsistent. Aim for shorter, controlled sentences first, then use complex structures selectively; check subject–verb agreement and ensure each clause has a complete verb.
