Student answer (Band 5.5)
Supply of clean water is a basic human right and every individual should agree with this. As life is not possible without clean water and I toltaly agree with this point.
Not just every home in a society wether in rural or urban area should have supply of clean water and also it should be provided free of cost by government of area, as it's not just need it's crucial for human life.Clean pure Water is not only used to drink it is also used in farming crops which is also a basic human need to live . If there is not enough supply of clean water, it means no farming of food as without fresh water farming is not possible.Furthermore, many individuals in this world are suffering from life thretning diseases such as Maleria, typhoid just becouse of lack of clean water . They are compulsed to drink dirty water as there is not enough or no supply of clean water in thier areas.
Moreover, till date some areas of world are still suffering from lack of clean water. For instance, peoples in many areas of Africa are still lacking in basic human right . They dont even have enough clean water to drink , farming is a long way ahead .The issue of lack in access to clean water should be rised internationally, and devloped contries should help third world contries in this sense as it's basic human right.
In conclusion, i will only say that access to free of charge clean water should be provided to every home on this planet by help of state government and other devloped contries . As it is not just a basic human right it's necessity for a well devloped nation .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you agree that clean water should be supplied to every home free of charge. You address the main parts of the question and give relevant reasons, including water’s importance for drinking and farming, health risks from unsafe water, and unequal access in parts of Africa. These points support your view and show the response is on task. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the link between water supply and farming is repeated, while the claim that developed countries should help is not supported with a specific explanation or example. To strengthen the response further, develop each main reason with a clearer cause-and-effect explanation and explain how free provision could be achieved.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally group related ideas, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help signal progression. However, connections are sometimes mechanical, and several ideas are crowded into long sentences, making their relationships less clear. For instance, the paragraph beginning “Not just every home…” moves from government provision to farming and then disease without clear transitions between these points. Some references, such as “this sense,” are also vague. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, use shorter sentences where needed, and make links between claims and examples explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “basic human right,” “life-threatening diseases,” “supply” and “access,” so the main message is understandable. There are also attempts to use more formal expressions, such as “provided free of cost” and “rised internationally.” However, the range and control are limited: some phrases are unnatural or imprecise, including “government of area,” “farming is a long way ahead” and “lacking in basic human right.” Spelling errors such as “thretning,” “becouse” and “devloped” are noticeable and can distract the reader. Build a more accurate set of topic collocations and check spelling carefully; this will make your argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as,” “which” and “if.” This allows you to express reasons and consequences, and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty or run together. For example, “As life is not possible without clean water and I toltaly agree with this point” is an incomplete, awkwardly joined sentence, while “If there is not enough supply … it means no farming” has an unclear grammatical construction. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, sentence boundaries and punctuation. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses accurately.
