Student answer (Band 6.0)

Clean water have became a basic need for people in this era, Every household should be provided with continuous supply of water without any additional charge.

Our body consists of 70% water so it is one of important factor for survival as well as ensuring the clean water usage in order to reduce the risks of different harmful health diseases.

In today's Global village access to clean water have became a one of challenging part of our daily routine where it is very difficult to get clean water at a fair price. Modren homes should be designed to provide unintrupted clean water supply to its residents to make their life easy.

In my opinion, Goverments should take some steps to make sure that its citizens get the basic right of accessing clean water for their consumption because it is not a luxury but a basic need for our wellbeing.

For Instance, I have been living in the capital city of Pakistan where we have a supply of clean water which can used at any time of day without any additional charges. This messure of our city council highlights that water is a basic need of every individual and our goverment is working actively to ensure its availability in the state.

On the other side, I have experienced living at a place where access to clean water is really difficult and costly due to which no one perfer to live there.

In Conclusion, Water is a basic need of every individual in our society and various measures should be taken to ensure that it is available to everyone without paying a single penny.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that households should receive clean water without charge, and you address the role of government as well as the importance of water for health. The example of receiving water without extra charges in Pakistan is relevant and helps illustrate your view. However, some points are asserted rather than explained. For instance, the claim that modern homes should be designed to provide uninterrupted water does not directly explain how free provision should be funded or managed, and the contrast with a place where water is costly is not developed with a specific consequence. To strengthen the response, explain the reasoning behind free access and extend each example to show how it supports your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from the importance of water to your opinion, examples, and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally focus on one main point, and signposts such as “For Instance,” “On the other side,” and “In Conclusion” help readers follow the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening paragraph repeats the prompt’s position, while the paragraph about modern homes shifts from access and affordability to home design without a clear link. “On the other side” also introduces a contrast that is not fully explained in relation to your earlier example. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the relationship between each example and your central argument explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “basic human right,” “continuous supply,” “health diseases,” and “availability,” so the main ideas are understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “measures should be taken” and “access to clean water.” However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations reduce accuracy, including “Modren,” “unintrupted,” “perfer,” and “without any additional charges” where “free of charge” would be more natural. Phrases such as “one of challenging part” and “Global village” are also awkward in context. Build a reliable range of collocations around public services, affordability, and health, and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a relative clause in “where we have a supply of clean water.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “Clean water have became” has incorrect subject–verb agreement and verb form; “access to clean water have became” repeats this problem. Articles and sentence construction are also inaccurate in “one of important factor,” while “which can used” is missing an auxiliary verb. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly the comma splice after “era” and unnecessary capitals such as “Goverments.” Review verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, then check each sentence for a complete grammatical structure.
