Student answer (Band 6.0)
Water is a basic neccessity of human life. One cannot survive without water. Having clean water is a basic human right. However, among many developing countries across the world clean water is not accessible to everyone. In countries like India,Nigeria clean water is a privilege.People living in slum areas or rural places still do not have access to clean water and rely on wells and tube wells. This results in exposure to contegious diseases and high risk of sickness among children and adults. Many cannot afford water supply pipes as well as irrational geographical area they live in makes it different to bring water supply pipes.
Therefore every home should have a water supply that is provided free of charge. The government of the nation must make sure to provide clean water to every household free of charge. Tax paid by the citizens are for the development of the nation. Thus, part of this tax should be used to provide for water supply to every household and not charge any amount on it. Another solution for providing access to clean water is through the use of tube well. Places where water supply cannot be provided due to its geographic location, government must built mutiple tube wells for that particular region.
Perhaps then, every citizen or individual can have access to free water supply and drink clean water rather than the water passing through drains or open wells. With that I conlcude my answer regarding free water supply to all individuals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that households should receive clean water without charge, and you give relevant reasons, including health risks from unsafe sources and the role of public tax revenue. The examples of people in rural areas and slums help connect the argument to the issue. However, the response is 236 words, so it does not meet the 250-word minimum; this limits how fully you can develop the argument. Some points also need more explanation: for instance, clarify how tube wells would ensure safe, reliable water and address the cost of maintaining them. A fuller discussion of whether free provision applies to unlimited use or basic household needs would make your position more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a generally coherent sequence: it introduces the problem of unequal access, presents government-funded provision as a solution, and ends by restating the desired outcome. Paragraphing separates the problem from the proposed response, and connectors such as “However,” “Therefore,” and “Thus” make the main relationships clear. At times, though, progression is mechanical or abrupt. The opening paragraph moves quickly from the human right to examples and health effects, while the second shifts from tax funding to tube wells without fully linking the two solutions. The final sentence, “With that I conclude my answer,” adds little to the argument. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and organise the body around distinct supporting reasons.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “basic human right,” “developing countries,” “geographical location,” and “household,” which helps communicate the central argument. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “exposure to contagious diseases.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “neccessity,” “contegious,” “mutiple,” and “conlcude.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “irrational geographical area” and “different to bring water supply pipes.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they reduce precision. Check spelling carefully and choose standard collocations, for example, “remote areas” and “difficult to install water pipes.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including the relative clause in “Places where water supply cannot be provided due to its geographic location” and the cause-and-effect sentence about unsafe water and illness. Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur. For example, “Tax paid by the citizens are” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “government must built” uses the wrong verb form after “must.” The sentence beginning “Many cannot afford water supply pipes” also has an unclear structure around the explanation of geography. Review agreement, modal verb patterns, and sentence construction, and use punctuation to separate long or joined ideas. Greater control of these forms would make the argument easier to follow.
