Student answer (Band 5.5)

As per indivisuals water which is also know as H2O is the most important thing in our daily life as it make us hydrated without any kind of sugar of harmful thing in it, It is the most common thing we can get almost anywhere as it is necessary.

Unfortunately Drinkable water is not present everywhere. As 91% of the water in earth is salty water which means it not good to drink. More then 70% of planet earth is been filled with water. So clear water which is good and proper in terms of many things that makes it drinkable is not able to reach to each and every human in the world.

When i was a kid i noticed that one the main country which is always going to water crisis is Africa as its so much warm and hot there that makes all the water evoparate and due to uneven climate rainy season not give enought water to drink. Same thing has been recently occur in india most fastest city Mumbai. Where alert has been given to all people in the city to not use uncessary water. and there was a big outage becuase of the water cut in the city due to which many to them where suffering from this issue.

However, i disagree to the point that Every home should have a water supply that should provided free of charge. As according my view i think that becuase of many issues like unpredictable climate and other things like many factory illegally leaving there chemical water in the sea which make clean water harmfull so government need to purify and clean it first to resupply it to each person.

As making it free of charge is not a good idea Because of the human nature if we are giving some value in replace of that we value and respect what we get otherwise getting it free many of them will use it in useless way. Which will create more outage fo drinkable water

In the end i would just let my point to be cleared that each and every person have that right to get clean water which is provide from our beautifull nature but each person should value it so giving it free cost would make it cheap and by which other person who know the value and are needy for clean water will not be able to get clean water.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall disagreement, especially in “I disagree” and your conclusion that people should value clean water. You also offer relevant reasons: treatment and purification cost money, pollution makes water unsafe, and free access might encourage waste. However, the response only partially develops the task. Much of the opening discusses water’s importance and global scarcity rather than explaining whether household supply should be free, and the examples about Africa and Mumbai are not clearly connected to your argument about charging for water. The claim that free water would be wasted needs explanation or evidence, and you could acknowledge the opposing view that basic access should be guaranteed. Develop two or three directly relevant reasons and support them with clearer examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your response has identifiable paragraphs and a broad sequence from the importance and scarcity of water to your disagreement and conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Unfortunately,” “However,” and “In the end” help signal shifts. Nevertheless, the overall progression is not consistently clear: the discussion of water scarcity and the examples of Africa and Mumbai lead into the position on free supply without a clear explanation of the connection. Some transitions are awkward or incomplete, such as “As 91% of the water…” and “As making it free of charge…”. Ideas within paragraphs also repeat, particularly the conclusion’s point that people should value water. Use topic sentences that state each reason, then explain how it supports your position, and make references between sentences more precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “water crisis,” “purify,” “chemical water,” and “outage,” so the reader can generally identify the subject and your main concerns. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make parts difficult to understand. For example, “water which is also know as H2O” is an awkward way to introduce the topic, while “water evoparate” and “uncessary” contain spelling errors. Phrases such as “chemical water” and “free cost” are not natural in this context, and “91% of the water in earth is salty water” is imprecise. Build a more accurate set of expressions for water access, treatment, pollution, and household charges, and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “However” and a reason clause beginning “because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence boundaries, verb forms, agreement, and articles sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “it make us hydrated” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “every home should have a water supply that should provided” is missing a verb form. Several sentences are joined or punctuated unclearly, including the opening sentence and “As making it free of charge is not a good idea Because…”. Practise writing one complete idea per sentence, then check that each clause has a subject and correctly formed verb. Use full stops and commas to separate ideas.
